Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Mariposa County

Mariposa is such a cute town. Great restaurant options and very walkable. we left Rebecca's house at 7:40am and arrived at Yosemite's gate at 8:45 (which is known for long lines after 9am) and got in quickly with no trouble! We will definitely stay here again when we're in the area. The back patio is a great addition for extra space and the weather was beautiful mid-June to sit outside for breakfast. We had 4 guests and didn't feel cramped at all. Tons of space and very comfortable. The couch bed met out expectations for a couch bed. None are very comfortable. We tried stacking couch cushions under the mattress for added support and it helped a little. I think I'd prefer the mattress on the floor maybe next time, instead of the bars of the fold out. But like I said, it is a couch bed! And it's total bonus to have that extra sleeping area for a one bedroom.

This is my favorite place to stay and my second time staying here! Cece's place is gorgeous, relaxing, peaceful, and the perfect getaway for when exploring Yosemite or the surrounding area. She is always helpful and so kind. I could not ask for a better place to stay or host and will continue returning!

Stayed here for a few nights and it was definitely a unique experience. The house is way out in the woods with barely any light around, so it gets super dark at night. Kind of spooky but also peaceful. What really made it worth it was the nature. Tons of wildlife, beautiful views, and total quiet. Great if you’re looking to unplug and just relax. Not much around, cute town about 15 min away, Yosemite south entrance about 1 hour away so come prepared, but overall a cool escape into nature.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Mariposa Pool House. The pool was great after our long days exploring Yosemite. The home was easy walking distance to the town. Kevin and Poppy were very responsive and accommodating.

Place is beautiful inside and out. The only thing I didn’t like is that rooms don’t have a curtains, a sheer curtain would be nice at least for privacy. I still give this place a 5 🌟

The Windmill's View was the best Airbnb we stayed in so far. It felt like home as soon as we opened the door. The house was so beautiful and cozy and felt absolute private. It was so well equipped-never experienced something like that. Just fantastic. We made our trip to Yosemite NP from Mariposa and it was the best decision we could make. A big thanks to Mashawn, because she was a brilliant host. I would highly recommend this beautiful house.

We had a great time staying at Bernard’s place. It was spacious, comfortable and clean. Having a fully stocked kitchen/bbq grill was really nice to cook meals. The house was a little over an hour to Yosemite National Park, and the drive wasn’t bad after a long day at the park, and 15-20 mins from Downtown Mariposa. Having a room as an office was nice to take work meetings. The master room had tons of space to put a travel crib for my baby to sleep in.

Our stay was wonderful at Dennis and Cyndi’s in Mariposa. Very clean and comfortable. Exactly as pictured at the NW edge of town, far enough from noise, but close enough to the stores. Grandkids enjoyed the pool. I enjoyed the space to relax.

We had such a great stay here! The Airbnb was very clean, tidy, cozy and exactly what we had in mind when searching for a luxurious forest cabin. We especially loved the fireplace and the huge terrace. Alexey was a great host - always responded fast, had clear instructions and checked in a few times with us if everything is in order. We would 100% recommend staying here when visiting Yosemite!

Apartment was great and a comfy place to stay for two nights. Ann was a responsive and proactive host. The air bnb is close to the highway for convenience but there was minimal road noise and it offered a peaceful stay!

The loft was perfect, plenty of towels and blankets. Big enough to have my family come over and visit will definitely reserve it again..

This is a "beary" fun place. The beds were comfortable and everything was as described.

Great proximity to Yosemite!

Great stay! The place was clean and has everything we needed. Felt very peaceful and the host was very responsive. It’s about an hour and a half drive to Yosemite village, which ended up not being too bad!

It was a nice place and such a wonderful atmosphere. The home is so nice and just very homey. Easy check in, has all the utensils you’ll need, and easy to get to Yosemite! The Smokehouse Grille next door is so nice! It was easy to communicate with Terri!

I love staying at Beth Lake when I go to Yosemite, but on this trip, it was wonderful because I got to spend my wife’s birthday there With her and she had such a wonderful time and it was a really really peaceful vacation we had we’re very grateful and we will be back. The condo is awesome that we stayed at thank you Vacasa.

We had a great stay and really enjoyed our time in the area. Aaron’s place was perfect to relax after a long day at Yosemite. The kitchen was very well equipped (even had a rice cooker) so that we can make some meals there easily. We have three children ranging ages from 11 to 4 and we felt that his place was very kid friendly. They absolutely loved the pool. Aaron was super responsive to any questions we had and you could tell he really cared about our experience.

Terry’s place was great, exactly what we needed. We were originally booked at an RV stay and an hour before check in they let us know that the shower was broken. We have a toddler and I was frantically trying to find a place nearby Bass Lake and luckily Terry accepted my reservation quickly and took us in! It was like a five star hotel compared to what we were going to be in! I’ve managed and cleaned airbnb’s for years and they thought of everything here. Lots of cute little touches and things for our son to play with, as well as coffee and creamer and little treats, and I really appreciated those extra touches. The only thing that bums me out is when we have to ‘clean’ up before check out… strip the beds, unload the dishwasher, take the trash out, etc. in my opinion that’s what cleaners and property managers are for, not guests, but that doesn’t take away from the nice house and experience we had here. Thank you!

Auburn's place was even better than the photos! Absolutely spotless, comfy beds, and a fully stocked kitchen. We loved all the space and we had the pool all to ourselves. Easy check in and great communication!

Great location. Perfect for our family visit to Yosemite Valley.

It was great to be stay inside Yosemite. The access to Glacier Point was better than staying at Yosemite Valley. It was good to get perishable food in the valley than come back and cook meals instead of buying meals in the valley. We would be very happy to stay there again if we come back for a visit to YNP.

Perfect location to multiple destinations in the park. Halfway point between the valley and Wawona right outside road to Glacier Point. Cozy and corner unit. Cool mountain air and plenty of shade. Good for families with smaller children or couples. Big comfortable queen bed and pull out sofa bed is good for children . Unit had all amenities and some extras. No cell service (AT&T) but had WiFi calling and WiFi service so able to stream. Smart TV has built in apps so can using streaming service although we used YouTube as guests. Was able to use kitchen for homemade meals and heating tv dinners. Fridge was large enough to store cold items. Outside of unit in building hallway there is an ice machine and trashroom for trash disposal. We saw a deer a couple of days. Parking is enough. There is one handicap parking in front of building which we utilized. Thank you Grace!
