Family-friendly holiday rentals in L'Houmeau

We had a wonderful week. Fred and Sabrina could not have made us feel more welcome. Would highly recommend this for a couple looking for a relaxing break close to many areas of interest. Every need was catered for and more and went way beyond our expectations. Very nice people.

The house is absolutely in line with the listing. All the comforts are there to accommodate a family or friends (kitchen equipment, games and accessories for children, barbecue and smoker). The land is beautiful, very well maintained by Cathy and her husband. In addition, Cathy was very welcoming, attentive, sharing, always ready to answer the slightest question with a smile and the utmost precision. And finally, a big thank you to her for the afternoon spent gently removing splinters from our little Eden's hand. We'll be back for sure!

We had a great time at La Flotte. Beatrice is really very friendly with lots of good advice even though we knew the island very well. The pool is a real plus and the garden is very zen. We'll be happy to go back.

This accommodation has an exceptional geographical location, it is at the foot of the mythical towers of La Rochelle, in a pedestrian street and full of good restaurants. In addition, it is very quiet , which is appreciated after good days of sightseeing. Leaving the accommodation, you can walk through the neighborhoods to see in the city but also visit the aquarium, take the boat to the Islands, eat good dishes...without taking the car. Great!

Nestled in a development of properties a short cycles across fields from La Flotte, this house probably has the best vantage point with glorious views across a cornfield to La Flotte and across the communal ground for these properties to the sea. The house is actually nicer than the photos. There’s tasteful furniture and it’s really well equipped. The tiny courtyard with the beautiful pink rose bush which the bedrooms lead onto is so lovely.

ideal accommodation for 2 quiet in full sun (attention! no air conditioning) with land that expands the residential space, close to all shops. Bedding remains a BZ. Parking and swimming pool are a great plus. 3km from the old port of La Rochelle but this is easily on foot or by river shuttle (€3/person). Elsa provides a detailed notebook of things to do to make your stay easier. I would highly recommend the place. Thanks to Samuel for his welcome and advice. We had a great stay in the cottage, perfectly suited for our family. The accommodation was clean, well-equipped, and ideally located about fifteen minutes' drive from La Rochelle, making it a perfect starting point for exploring the region and the island of Ré. Special mention for the pool, which the children loved! But above all, a big thank you to the hosts for their warm welcome, availability and kindness. We would definitely recommend this listing!

A very good stay at Brigitte's, who was super welcoming. The accommodation is easy to access and close to the centre of La Flotte. It is very well equipped, clean and warm. We had a great stay in this apartment for a wedding in the area. The location is perfect, very central, which allowed us to do everything on foot. The accommodation is clean, well furnished and very pleasant to live in. Ideal for enjoying the island! Thanks again for hosting us! We'll be back:)

Clean and well-located studio, very good bed, nice little balcony for breakfasts, I used the pool, sauna and steam room with satisfaction. We are barely 10 minutes from the port of St Martin de Ré, we will be happy to come back, thank you Jacky for your welcome and Pascal for his accommodation

It was a great stay at Nicolas'! The residence is very pleasant, quiet, charming, well located to access the village of La Flotte on foot easily, close to the waterfront. We had a scorching hot time and the apartment, with the shutters closed, remains cool. The pool is a great plus. The exchanges with Nicolas were very cordial. He is responsive, accommodating, and gives valuable local and practical information. The studio is well arranged, with nice decoration, good bedding, all the necessary dishes and the flowery terrace is ideal for having breakfast outdoors. ☀️ The table set on our arrival gives a touch of hospitality that we enjoyed. We'll be happy to go back!
