A luxury and stylish holiday home in the heart of Lerryn with direct views over the river. A perfect location for families, walkers, dog lovers, keen cooks, those seeking a quiet retreat or an active holiday - or all of the above!
“Make sure you arrive before or after high tide and I suggest arriving in daylight. We loved staying here. Quiet, clean, spacious. Modern and good sized bathrooms. LoveLy view of the narrow river, boats and homes on the other side. Kind Neighbours. We wished we could have stayed longer. Alas it was just an overnight stay, but a delightful stay it was. Very highly recommend.”
Lime Kiln Cottage is a cosy, traditionally built stone cottage with a sunny courtyard garden and parking for two cars. The cottage is less than two minutes walk from the tidal River Fowey where there is a slipway suitable for launching small watercraft. A level 5 min walk will take you into the town where there are many historic buildings and a variety of independent shops, several pubs, restaurants, cafe's and a co-op. Lostwithiel Railway Station is on the mainline from London to Penzance.
“We stayed here for 3 nights. The cottage was comfortable and had all the essentials we needed. It's worth having a walk around the village and along the river, very pretty. All covid precautions were covered and we never felt at risk staying. We can recommend the Crown Inn in the next village, the local Chinese takeaway. The Duchy of Cornwall nurseries are definitely worth visiting, although the cafe had slow service. Fabulous gardens to walk around and great views, including the castle. Sharon was a great host, communicated well before and during our stay. She even poppedin to see us. Complimentary wine, biscuits and milk in the fridge. Thank you. We will be telling all our friends aboutthe cottage.”
An absolutely stunning apartment. Overlooking the whole of Fowey harbour, this beautifully presented apartment offers fabulous views from the living room and kitchen, and provides a flexible bedroom layout for either couples or friends staying in this brilliant waterside location. Just a couple of hundred yards from the Lugger Inn and the town quay at the centre of this quintessential Cornish fishing village.
“The many positive comments about this holiday let and its host Jeremy are all certainly true. We arrived to find the Captain's Cabin to be warm and clean with a stylish decor. What a thoughtful and welcome touch the bottle of fizz and homemade brownies was. No one could fail to be impressed by the unobstructed scenery from the bay window in the living room. The large bed was complimented with a cosy duvet and sumptuous pillows. Jeremy has provided an informative 'Welcome Book' which we found very useful for finding out about walks, eating out and general information regarding the surrounding location. The very local Lugger Pub mentioned was a great find for craft beer and good food - I can recommend the lemon sole and steak pie; the menu changes daily. We don't think you'll fail to fall in love with this idyllic place.”
