“Make sure you arrive before or after high tide and I suggest arriving in daylight. We loved staying here. Quiet, clean, spacious. Modern and good sized bathrooms. LoveLy view of the narrow river, boats and homes on the other side. Kind Neighbours. We wished we could have stayed longer. Alas it was just an overnight stay, but a delightful stay it was. Very highly recommend.”

“This venue gave us very local access for so many attractions, especially the Eden Centre, Fowey, Polperro and Looe. Clive made our trip really easy, we felt very welcome and at home; he gave us countless tips and ideas about what to do locally and loaned us a very useful map outlining the shortcuts to places. The cabin was very cosy, despite the foul weather outside and Clive tried really hard to accommodate our use of wifi and various other needs. The washing up fairy meant that we could come home to all of that done and the use of the fridge was very helpful. For this and all the other very thoughtful touches, we were most grateful. Lovely place to stay for a short break.”
Lime Kiln Cottage is a cosy, traditionally built stone cottage with a sunny courtyard garden and parking for two cars. The cottage is less than two minutes walk from the tidal River Fowey where there is a slipway suitable for launching small watercraft. A level 5 min walk will take you into the town where there are many historic buildings and a variety of independent shops, several pubs, restaurants, cafe's and a co-op. Lostwithiel Railway Station is on the mainline from London to Penzance.
“We loved Lostwithiel and Lime Kiln Cottage! A gorgeous, classy little township with a fascinating history. The cottage was impeccable with quality towels, appliances etc. combined with a really comfortable and cosy feel, perfect to relax in. Sharon was brilliant to communicate with and her generosity will not be forgotten. Experiences like this remind me why I love staying in Airbnbs. Can’t wait to get back here.”
