New apartment in the center of Balestrand for 4 persons. 2 bedrooms, (optional if you want single beds or double bed). Travel cot available. One extra guest in the extra bed. The apartment has a large balcony with several seating areas. Internet. 50 meters to grocery store, restaurant / pub, aquarium, tourist information, kayak rental and ribs tours. Ferry boat to and from Bergen, and further into the fjord to Flåm. Great hiking opportunities in the mountains with many hiking trails in the area.

Big Cabin

Ortnevik is two and half hours north of Bergen, on the south side of the Sognefjord. It's a picturesque Norwegian village sitting by the fjord at the foot of the Stølsheimen National Park. The local ferry can take you to see a bit more of the surrounding area, such as Vik, Voss and Flåm. Along side the mountain and forest trails, fishing and rowing activities found here. We expect guests to clean the cabin to the same standard they found it in or there is the option of cleaning for 500 NOK.

The camping is an excellent starting point for hiking trips to Haugabreen glacier, Oldeskaret and Briksdalen during summer and Snønipa(1827m) for back country skiing in winter and spring. "Eldhuset" was built in 2004 with all modern qualities. There are heating cables in the floor, a private terrace, a great wood-fired bakery oven and a cultivation area just outside. The house has a bedroom and loft. Just outside the door you will find popular hiking and biking trails. 6 min drive to Sogndal city center, 4 min away is Kaupanger city center with grocery store and ViteMeir center, nice for all ages! 2 min away you will find a swimming pool, playground and gym.
