“I spent 4 nights with Bob and Julie and I must admit, I have never felt so welcome before. Bob and Julie are lovely people, very interesting and great conversationalists. I looked forward to breakfast each morning for a full English expertly cooked by Bob, and then a damned good chat... it was sometimes difficult to leave for the day as I was enjoying the company so much. With regards to the property - wow, what a place. It really is something special with fantastic views. I felt extremely comfortable the whole time I was there. I slept like a log every night. The room was very large, with its own separate bathroom. The pictures dont really do the room justice - anybody who decides to stay here, have chosen lucky just like I did. The dogs, Foxy and Indy are absolutely lovely! When I am next in the area, I will definitely not be looking anywhere apart from Bob and Julie's place at Underwood Hayes. Thank you both very much for a wonderful stay.”
The Studio is a recently converted one bedroom apartment set in the heart of the north Devon countryside. The accommodation comprises a large kitchen/living area and a large bedroom with a king size bed with en-suite shower room. It is a very rural location but only half an hour or less to the coast, either the north Devon coast or the Cornish coast.
“The studio is delightfully comfortable and well appointed. The kitchen has everything you could need, the bed is comfortable and the duvet lovely and warm. The log fire was ready for us to light on arrival which was very welcome, and the breakfast bits were a lovely touch (the bread and butter were especially delicious). Thanks so much for your hospitality Sara.”
Deer Park Dairy is a remote, stunning barn conversion set in ten acres of open farmland at the end of a long private stone farm track enjoying outstanding views across lakes, rolling countryside and the ancient Deer Park. Well socialised dogs are welcome (max 2) although I would ask that they are not allowed in bedrooms or on the furniture. Note: The track is not suitable for low ground clearance two seater sports car vehicles.
“What a superb find, so many wonderful little touches and everything you could possibly want for had been thought about and provided. A lovely, spacious and very warm place with underfloor heating, a very well stocked kitchen - felt like at home. A cosy fireplace and TV entertainment (Netflix, Prime Video etc.) was superb addition in rainy weather conditions. Simon is a great host who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Thank you for an absolutely delicious homemade Sticky Toffee pudding, freshly pressed apple juice and the best free range eggs we have ever tried! Would definitely recommend to anyone who want to stay in a very well done barn conversion in a beautiful countryside of Devon.”
