Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . There is full access to the large garden including an 10mx4m in-ground heated swimming pool .

Our accommodation is conveniently located whether you want to enjoy the beaches (10 min drive, beach bus 3 min), the hinterland or the nearby Camargue, we are very close to the highway exit and the beach road (300 m). Your access to the accommodation will be easy whether you come by car (free parking) or train (bus stop for the train station at the foot of the building). The historic center is easily accessible in less than 10 minutes by bus or bike, 15/20 minutes on foot

Our accommodation with equipped kitchen is reserved for you. It overlooks the Pont du Diable, offering an exceptional view of our authentic landscapes. I will bring you breakfast on a tray with fruit juice, homemade jam, bread, croissant, fruit and yogurt, for stays of up to 4 nights. Beyond this and in summer, breakfasts are not provided.
