Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Biwa

It was great to stay here. They make every effort to accommodate! There is a train station just around the corner too.^_^

We stayed here for 4 days and walked to the bamboo Forrest every day. It was a 10 minute walk from the train station which was convenient for traveling to other sites around Kyoto. We would stay here again.

家族と犬を同伴して滞在しました。チェックインはホストが到着時間に合わせて対応してくれて、丁寧な説明がありました。犬に対しても気配りをしてくださりとても良かったです。おかげさまで快適に過ごせました。

Haruka's apartment is situated very near Saiin-Station (5min walk) and its restaurants in a quite street. There is a supermarket 4min walk in the other direction. It is big with 2 bedrooms, a great bathroom, a washing-machine and everything you can need to cook in the tiny kitchen as well as spices, oil, tea, coffee... There are also brochures about Kyoto's attractions and a very interesting book about Japan's history. The best part of our stay at Haruka's House was to meet the owners (they live upstairs), who welcomed us as we arrived with many informations, japanese tea, fruits an sweats. As we left, the had looked for the train-connexions to our next destination and gave us nice advices as well as crackers for the trip. It was so nice, we felt at home from the first minute and we enjoyed so much their company. We even had the chance to borrow their bicycles to tour around Kyoto. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! We definitely hope to come back!!!

如果是有小朋友的家庭會非常推薦這裏喔！！我們這次是一家三代一起入住，非常舒服乾淨又寬敞，真的很享受，廚房設備非常完善，如果可以的話建議傍晚前就可以入住好好體驗，一樓和二樓都有廁所可以使用，非常方便，門口的草皮區域可以給小小朋友玩很安全，下次來一定會繼續選擇這家民宿，值的推薦的好地方！！

Very warm and helpful household (luggage room option). Good location (quiet and few minutes to Kyoto Station). Rooms very clean, spacious and cosy; beds very comfortable. Everything as described. I highly recommend it!

We spent 10 days in the house in April 2025. The house was well equipped and everything was as described. There is a good rail connection to the center of Osaka as the station is very close but surprisingly, there is no noise from the railway. We used the house as a base to explore Osaka, Nara, Kyoto and Kobe. All these places are easily accessible by railway. Close to the house there is an excellent supermarket: LIFE. There are excellent instructions to all appliances in English and adequate heating and hot water. We didn't need the air condition but it is there. Beds are comfortable. The host was very helpful and answered all our questions. We were happy with our choice of accommodation and highly recommend it.

Amazing place in an amazing location. My only comment is the have a Nespresso coffee maker. They provided a few pods, but when they ran out I was unable to find more anywhere nearby. I should have contacted them but found a couple of delightful coffee shops around the corner. I’d stay there again in a heart beat.

Estuvimos tres semanas alojándonos en esta casa en Osaka mientras trabajábamos en el campus de Toyonaka. Tiene todas las comodidades y está a una parada de metro de la estación de shinkansen. La calle es tranquila y tiene varios conbinis a proximidad. El anfitrión es realmente amable y encantador. No podría recomendarlo más.

The host was waiting for us when we checked in for explaining the facilities so there’s no trouble while staying. The equipment for BBQ was well prepared so it’s all fine to buy just food. Thank you for the lovely room.

小規模な研究会合宿のため２回目の滞在です。15名程度で利用しましたが、古民家で広々としたスペースがあり、風景もよく、湖に直結の艇庫でBBQもできるなど参加者間の交流を深める良い機会になっています。調理器具、お皿、タオルなどの備品は潤沢にあります。多人数での布団敷きでの宿泊になりますしお風呂は１つなので、仲の良いグループでの利用がおすすめです。

Stayed a second time for more than a month and loved every minute of it. Really great place for long term stays and pet friendly. Also has a garage space. Perfect for long term stays in general. The house is a beautiful old house, with both traditional and modern rooms. Very spacious and comfortable. There is little storage space but it's a big house so there's plenty of space to store luggage out of the way. Aircon and heaters were enough heating for the coldest part of the winter. Fully stocked with appliances and consumables in general, we didn't miss a thing. The area around is extremely convenient with a shopping mall, tons of great restaurants, places for sightseeing, specialised shops, and in the middle of Kyoto. A great place to explore the city. The hosts are kind and attentive and were responsive for the couple of time we needed something. They had prepared everything so well that we hardly needed anything anyway. Thank you so much for having us!

The location is fantastic — just a stone’s throw from the metro, and only 10 minutes to the city center. We really liked the area because it feels local and authentic, not touristy at all. The house is spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, and full of natural light. Niko is lovely and very thoughtful, which made our stay even better. If I had to mention something, a few things felt a bit worn, and the place wasn’t completely spotless, which we expected. But honestly, it didn’t affect our stay. I still totally recommend it and would definitely come back!

This accommodation is huge over 3 levels with an internal elevator. It also has an internal spiral staircase but it is extremely tight and wouldn’t be recommended for small children. The ground floor is a kitchen dinner, floors 2 and 3 are bedrooms each with 2 beds and a bathroom. The host was very accommodating and responsive, the location is in a smaller area and directly opposite the local train station which is super convenient, recommended particularly for 2x couples or if you stay with older children and or grandparents

綺麗で利用しやすい良いお家でした。 寝室も広く、たくさんあるので、 友達家族と他世帯で泊まるのにとてもよかったです。 洗面台やトイレが複数あるのも嬉しいポイントでした。 リビングの団欒スペースも大人数でも広々使えて夜までみんなで楽しく過ごせました。 昼は近くの松の浦キャンプ場で湖畔BBQをしました。湖はすぐ見えますが、BBQができる場所までは徒歩5分ほどでした。 また車10分とかからず、ちょうどいい日帰り温泉(比良とぴあ)があります。 大人数子連れでも、家で入る組と日帰り温泉組に分かれられるので便利です。 コンビニも駅も近かったです。

The location was good, the house beautiful, modern and clean, spacious, lots of things to see and do around Obama…Highly recommended when travelling by car!

Die Unterkunft war extrem sauber – wirklich makellos, was für uns sehr wichtig war. Man hat sich vom ersten Moment an wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns der schnelle und freundliche Kontakt: Wenn wir Fragen hatten, wurde sofort geantwortet und mit echter Hilfsbereitschaft unterstützt. Die Gastgeber waren außergewöhnlich aufmerksam – sie haben uns sogar einen Regenschirm angeboten, als es plötzlich zu regnen begann. Solche Gesten machen den Unterschied! Und haben uns sogar Kyoto Süßigkeiten dagelassen. Insgesamt ein rundum perfekter Aufenthalt. Ich kann diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Modern and fresh apartment. All the amenities that you need. Loved the recliner chairs to relax. Great kitchen with everything you need to cook for yourself. Large and easy to use bathroom with washing machine. Great outside area including hot tub. You’re right next to a bamboo forest. So very peaceful. Walkable to Fushimi Inari Shrine and 1000 red Torii if you are able bodied. Naoko responded to every request quickly and happily. Loved the treats for breakfast. Thanks Naoko.

Uzu-San is a wonderful host. She spent time at checkin describing the neighborhood and lets us know everything in the neighborhood. She even spent a morning with us and went to Nijo. She dropped off a bottle of sake which was excellent and was quick to answer any question we had. In all my years with AirBnb, this was the best experience I’ve has. I would be happy to stay at her place anytime
