A superb place to observe the Northern Lights - and if it is windless, it mirrors in the sea as well. Tromsø city centre bus, approx. 15 min. Spot reindeer, otters, moose, or even whales, and watch the Northern Lights from the porch. Steps away, enjoy a panoramic sauna by the water. A traditional BBQ hut is available as an optional rental. This is our beloved home, and many guests tell us they fall in love with it too. Few places blend comfort and wilderness like this. We never tire of it—and hope you will, too.

This tiny guesthouse has the most beautiful view directly from your kitchen and sleeping room window. Since there's no street lights around, it's the perfect place to watch the Aurora and enjoy a relaxing private getaway in the Arctic. We live next door with our 6-year old son and cat. Spectacular new build house (2018) in a lovely, quiet area with a beautiful view to the fjord/sea, mountains and forest in Kvaløya /Tromsø. You can watch the beautiful northern light / aurora borealis from the huge window (10 sqm), sitting in the living room with a cup of tea or coffee in your hand:-) This is a perfect place for tourists who wants to see the northern light, whales in the fjord at winter, hiking/ skiing in the mountains or everything else you want in this lovely city.

Koselig gammel hus - Grandmas – Oldstyre house. Kraknes på Kvaløya. 16 km fra Tromsø sentrum. Her kan du nyte flott natur både sommer og vinter. Utsikt mot magiske fjell og innseiling til Tromsø by. Du kan se noen av fjellene i Lyngen Alps fra huset. Her nyter du stillhet, avslapping, midnattssol på sommeren og nordlys og arktisk flott himmel på vintertid. 10 minutters kjøretur fra flyplassen og 20 minutter i bil fra huset til Tromsø Sentrum. Sommarøya is a small village 1 hour outside Tromsø. There is a bus twice a day on weekdays, during the weekend a bus runs Sunday evening. There is good parking for the rental car. In addition to listed rooms, the house has a room with a double sofa bed. This room is adjacent to one of the bedrooms. There are also a room with a singel bed. Animals are allowed at request.
