House holiday rentals in Kvaløya

Really nice house in a quiet spot at the fjord, we saw the northern lights nearly every day infront of our door! Perfect spot to start day trips with a rental car! Jacuzzi sadly didn’t work but we were offered to use the other jacuzzi :) We had a lovely time!

We were very much looking forward to our stay in Norway and the host was always available. We chose to stay in peace and nature with sauna and hot tub. For the use of this, we had to pay extra which is not very clearly stated. For this price, maybe a little more wood provided because you will certainly not be able to use this and since the price is already pricey anyway, if this is unlimited, we find it. The house was clean, spacious and beautiful view. However, a dangerous staircase, especially the hole down when you are upstairs. Children who are playing do not always have this in mind, maybe a fence provided for safety! The fireplace is definitely a plus because we love this coziness. We were able to admire the northern lights 5 of the 6 nights from the terrace. The kitchen equipment may be a little more extensive. We missed a mixer to mix our soup and a colander to shake off the spaghetti.

We stayed on short notice for two nights at Anne's place - the communication with Anne was fast and without any problems. It was beautiful and the view is really stunning! Everything was nice and clean. Thank you very much for the stay!

Siril was very friendly and helpful. The house was very cozy and because Christmas was also lovingly decorated. We felt very comfortable. Glad to come back.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The house was updated and had everything we needed and even some things we didn’t know we needed, like snowshoes! Evelyn and Jim told us when the lights were visible and the house was a perfect place to see them.

We (family of 5) stayed for 1 week in Mats great house. It’s easy to get to from the airport, just download svipper app and see which bus you need and pay your ticket in the app. The bus stop Storskogen is not far from the house. The house is big and comfy, the kitchen has everything you need, the beds are comfy and there are enough towels, shower gel, shampoo and toilet paper for the whole week. There is also a hair dryer and kitchen towels and enough tablets for the dish washer, etc. The best is the view from the balcony! We saw the Northern lights from there right on our first evening. Amazing! The couch and the dinner table are nice, big and a great hangout. We walked most days back and forth to the city. It’s a 20 minutes walk. Taking the bus is also easy. Streets do not completely get cleared of snow and ice. We were wearing snowboots, my mother walking boots with spikes. We loved our northern lights trip, langlaufen (both via airbnb) and dogsledding (Arctic Adventure Tours)

We found ourselves drawn back to Arild’s place after a year, and it was every bit as wonderful as we remembered. The serenity of the location and the vivid aurora views are still breathtaking. The convenience of being between Tromsø and the Lyngen Alps makes it perfect for both relaxation and adventure. Arild’s hospitality is truly exceptional, making him a deserving super host. The house continues to be comfortable and well-equipped. It's clear that Arild takes great care in maintaining his property and ensuring guests have an unforgettable experience. Lovely house and good location, 10mins drive from the airport, 15-20 drive from centre of Tromso. Beautiful area to walk/snow shoe/x country ski/ski tour. Owner very friendly and helpful. House was family friendly with plenty of space for the kids to keep clear of adults!! Thank you.

Kristin welcomed us in a great way, she was very kind and helpful , she gave us information and suggestions . We have the aurora 2 times, one of them from the balcony of the house!!!!!!

We just spent 8 nights in Thomas & Julianne’s fabulous house. Such a great spacious and beautifully appointed home and we were truly blown away by it. Super comfortable beds and bedrooms for a great night’s sleep. It has an extremely well equipped kitchen and high spec bathrooms. Washing machine and dryer was also appreciated. Very quietly located, but within easy reach of Tromso (approx 1 hour) and 2 local grocery shops to pick up essential supplies. We were there for ski touring and were lucky enough to have tons of powder, but also saw the aurora from the house and close by in a darker (away from house/street lights etc) location. I would highly recommend if you enjoy nature and like a slightly more isolated spot to enjoy your holidays. It was a privilege to stay there and we would love to return.

Heidi and her beautiful home provided for an amazing getaway in our search for Lady Aurora! Her home very clean and efficiently organized and offered exceptional views of the city. The house is located only a short drive from the city center, yet away from its light pollution. Our hostess was very helpful with suggestions for outings and local services. Great place with very good amenities in a fantastic location right on the fjord. We were able to see northern lights on several evenings right in front of the house, one morning dolphins floated right by the beach in front of the property. You can take wonderful excursions on the Lyngenfjord or Finland. A car is definitely a must, ideally a 4-wheeler. The nearest shopping is 10 km away, the nearest larger supermarket is just under 30 minutes to Tromsø, but it's not really worth a trip there. It is much better to look at the insider tips in the area, such as the Lyngstuva lighthouse or the "Senter for nordlige folk" with great insights into the life of the Sami. Very pleasant stay in a quiet environment. We were able to observe the Northern lights several nights from the grounds behind the sauna. There is a beautiful view of the fjord from the accommodation.

Not only was Maria’s AirBnB beautiful, spotless, comfortable, and conveniently located, but as a host, Maria went above and beyond. She helped myself and my family feel very welcomed, provided exceptional recommendations and suggestions, and her hospitality truly is next level. Our trip to Norway was a success and greatly in part due to her. Would highly recommend Maria’s place, without question.

Excellent place to stay, we spent our new years here and caught the northern lights right outside of our apartment multiple nights a row!

Kamilla and Eirik were the best Airbnb hosts we've met. They were impressively responsive to the many questions we had about the area and helpful with suggestions for skiing and trails (a number of which are right out the front door), and also with information about interesting places to visit. The house was warm and welcoming and we felt at home right away. The 4 of us enjoyed the comfortable living room where we had mesmerizing views of awe-inspiring mountains and the fjord, which is a few steps from the front door. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking up feasts which we did every night. And what a bonus to find we had northern lights in the field in front of the house! Thank you for providing the perfect setting for our family reunion!

fantastic location, walkable to the town & restaurants. beds very comfortable, house clean & tidy with plenty of hot water for the showers for 5 people. 10 to 15 mins walk to location of the trips organised, would recommend. thank you for a great stay.
