In 2022 the Byzantine home underwent a comprehensive reconstruction under the supervision of archaeologists. The original construction materials were meticulously used, preserving the structure of the home, which is a part of a castle built approximately 950 years ago.The main bedroom features queen-sized bed and a full-sized bed on an elevated wooden structure that was meticulously rebuilt to its original state. "Spiti Elaionas" is a charming renovated stone house located at 300 meters from the golden sandy beach of Karfas. The house can lodge 4 adultes/4 kids maximum. Nestled on a hill planted of olive and wild pistachio-trees, it offers a splendid view to the sea and the Turkish coast (binoculars not to forget) . Quiet but not isolated ( shops and restaurants are 300 m. away). The house is simply decorated but with taste. Karfas is the best spot to visit Chios because of its central localisation.

Three-storey medieval house

For this reason, internally it has the form of a castle village, built during the Genoese period.
