Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Kirkcudbright

Kirkcudbright is a very nice town. Worth a visit: peaceful, green, clean and probably the friendliest people I have come across. The house really is perfect - one of the best we have stayed at. Host is friendly and proactive in communication. Getting there, getting in and getting comfortable is all so easy. I cannot think of anything to find fault with- everything you need is here and how you want it. Lovely welcome pack too. Lots of space in the house and dog friendly (lots of good walking areas behind the house).

The Old School House is stunning Air BnB , super clean, very well appointed and Elizabeth is an excellent host. Would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Newton Stewart.

Beautiful house with so much character. The location was so peaceful yet close to Dumfries where we were easily able to get take-out for dinner. We only stayed one night as a stopover on our way home but we found the house to be comfortable and well-equipped. The milk and water in the fridge plus all the seasonings/spices in the kitchen were such a nice surprise that we don't often find in AirBnBs, as were the very nice bathroom amenities. The only thing I'd mention - our daughter had us up at 5:30 am because there are only curtains, no blinds/shutters, in the bedrooms and, although the curtains are thick, it was still very bright in the bedrooms as soon as the sun started rising, which is very early at this time of year. Just keep this in mind if you're coming with young kids who are light sleepers!

We had a blast staying at Joyce's place. She is such a good host, really warm and welcoming. She had wonderful suggestions for places to visit and is always open for a conversation. The property is incredible! Absolutely loved the stay and will recommend this one!!

John was very helpful and easily accessible throughout our stay, making everything smooth and stress-free. The check-in and check-out process was seamless. The property was perfect for our family, providing a comfortable base to explore the beautiful Lake District. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming farmhouse in the Lake District. The place was immaculately tidy, with a very well-catered kitchen that had everything we needed—perfect for cooking up a proper Easter Sunday roast, which we were lucky enough to enjoy outside in the garden thanks to some glorious spring sunshine. The wood burner made the evenings extra cosy, and the peaceful, beautiful surroundings made for a truly relaxing break. Diana was excellent—friendly, helpful, and very responsive. highly recommended!

Fantastic Easter break, accommodation as described, nicely presented and clean. Great location for North Lakes, quiet village, only owls at night could be heard! Walked from the barn to Loweswater also short drive to Crummock Water & Buttermere. Excellent host and great communication. Thanks ☺️

Fabulous apartment just as described. Clean, comfortable with an excellent position for all amenities. Parking space is a bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to repeat.

Keswick is a beautiful base for visiting the Lakes District and this apartment is in a great location in Keswick. Easy to walk into the centre of town for dinner or groceries. The apartment had lots of good books about nearby walking and the gas fire was a lovely addition. Unexpectedly spacious flat with well equipped kitchen.

Great stay; lovely apartment in a superb location, Glenn was helpful and send good, clear instructions. Good size rooms and comfortable to stay in, would definitely recommend.

A week’s stay here in this really comfortable and well equipped flat. Very nicely furnished and everything working as it should. Peaceful surroundings (except for early morning seagulls!) with lots of free parking available as well as a reserved spot in the car park. We tended to use the street parking as there is a tree over of the reserved spot….. Very well located to get into the town with some good walks along the river. Easy to drive out to touring spots. We really enjoyed the castle at the head of the estuary and the boathouse restaurant on the way back to town. Flat was much more spacious than we expected and was very comfortable. Would happily return if we are back in the area.

Church Street was a lovely place to stay, good layout, comfy furniture, plenty of room and all very clean. Location was good for us, 10 mins walk into the centre of Keswick or the lake. A great base for exploring this beautiful part of the country.

Just like home from home with immediate access to all the service you expect for a walking holiday in Cumbria. Also, private car parking, access to what is now an excellent bus services in and around the local valleys and not to forget the immediate availability of the excellence of the Booths super market!

Central for visiting local attractions within south Ayrshire. Very clean and well presented. Easy to find as located in the middle of the town. Local restaurants near by, as well as local supermarkets.

Luke & AnnaMarie’s place is perfect for exploring Moffat and the surrounding area. The spa facilities were amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Moffat and have already passed the details on to my friends looking to visit the area. Luke & AnnaMarie are prefect hosts, super attentive and responsive. Such a beautiful home and perfect for our family’s stay for our daughter’s wedding at a farm nearby. Such a unique property and we were grateful for the gorgeous back garden since we had such great weather. Kitchen was well-equipped and we enjoyed the setup of the house overall.

Cannot fault this place at all. Perfect for our family of 7 adults and 2 wee ones. So roomy and spacious, very well kept. And loved all the wee extra bits and bobs in the kitchen! Perfect location for the centre of Ayr/beach and we managed to get out 2 cars in the back driveway perfectly and 1 out the front. We would definitely return back here on any future trips to Ayr.

Nick went above and beyond in supporting our trip. We were 10 adults 6 kids, for me the old worldly feel & nature showing through every window was unreal-Every room felt unique & special. Some family messages below to help summarize the home :) •Aged 11: The house was lovely one of the best experiences I’ve ever been to, it is a massive place and it was a really nice fun place in a little town •Aged 45: It was a wonderful stay and exactly as described. Beautiful peaceful surroundings, very close to village but feels like we were out in the country. House, Beautifully decorated, big but yet felt very cosy. Everything you could possibly need was provided for. Outside amenities included a hot tub which was the icing on the cake of a magnificent property •Aged 74: Such a wonderful ambience for a family gathering so peaceful •Aged 43: Nothing like having you're own personal hotel for a weekend :) Aged 12: I want to live there, it was gorgeous.
