Comfortable, homely and a little bit quirky, this property has 3 double rooms, a bathroom, a large family kitchen ,lounge with open coal fire, day room/ utility room. The enclosed back garden has an outside toilet, a newly renovated art/craft studio with running water and is secure and can be used for storing bicycles, golf clubs etc. Two well behaved dogs welcome, please include dogs when booking.

You can take walks in our small forest from the courtyard & hang out in the walled garden - green fingers are welcomed!!

In summer relax on the patio, In winter curl up with a book or board game and enjoy the stunning views from the cosy interior.

The Steading is a beautiful two-bedroom cottage with a sitting room/fully equipped kitchen log stove, in a tranquil setting surrounded by beautiful countryside, a short drive from Kirkcudbright and Castle Douglas. Fully equipped with linen, crockery, cutlery, and a washer/dryer/dishwasher. Two wet rooms/bathrooms, two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. We welcome 1-2well-behaved dogs, but they must be on a lead whenever outside.

We are between 10/30 mins from 3 of the 7stanes cycling trails and 6 miles from several beaches or hills for walking. You are 5 mins drive away from the market town of Castle Douglas.

Red squirrel, deer, kingfisher, woodpecker, red kite, buzzard and otter are just a few of the local visitors spotted from our garden. Stepford Station Cottage is the perfect cosy retreat for nature lovers. We welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs at no extra fee.
