Inside the room, there is also a traditional Japanese irori (hearth) typical of old Japanese houses. You can experience traditional Japanese living, such as sharing a hotpot around the irori (traditional hearth) or grilling skewers. *Please bring your own cooking utensils, such as ingredients and skewers. Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

There is a beach with a wonderful sunset within a 10-minute walk, and there is also a walking course that your dog will enjoy. There are also a few fishing points nearby. Bring home the fish you caught, You can also enjoy cooking with the kitchen utensils provided. There is also a roadside station nearby where you can buy seasonal vegetables, fruits, and fish.
