The apartment was exactly as described. it was clean and convenient and the recommendations were spot on. I highly recommend their place. Two thumbs up.

This property was amazing! Michael met us to let us in and give us the keys. He went through details of the home in detail and also provided helpful recommendations for local restaurants, beaches, etc. We were very comfortable. The furniture and amenities made us feel at home. The most amazing aspect of the home was the huge balcony with view of the entire ocean! I could sit out there for hours! Overall, this property is well worth the money. I would stay here again for sure. Ευχαριστούμε πάρα πολύ, Μιχάλη!

A chic room with really everything you could need - from the balcony a beautiful view of the sea and the small harbor, just a few meters to the nearest cafes and taverns ... on the beach everything was very pleasant, the village behind seemed less "beautiful" to us, but the location is good for great excursions on the south coast and into the mountains.

Fabulous stay!! You cannot beat the location; right in the heart of old town nestled up above all the shops. Its in an area that is busy during the day but doesnt feel like it and since the shops close around 21:30, it is quiet in the evenings. The building is very secure. There are 2 ladies that run a shop downstairs that also live in the building and they are always around, so it felt very safe. The apartment is exactly as described and well cared for; everything was clean and fresh when we arrived. The balcony is a great amenity, and we spent all of our time while in the apartment on it enjoying the breeze and sunshine. Giorgos is a wonderful host. Very quick to respond and always providing helpful hints for things to do or restuarants to try. Self check-in was easy and Giorgos provided great descriptions and pictures to help guide you.

Stayed at Despoina’s Place for five sunny days. The apartment is not overlooked so you can open the door and lie in bed looking at the sea. Matala’s sandy beach and aquamarine water is just a few steps down. There’s a little cafe/bar next door and the lovely staff will bring your morning coffee or your beers to the terrace. We did nothing really, except sit on the beach and enjoy the sun. A couple of days were windy so the sand got blown about - if we’d have stayed longer we might have invested in a wind break. Highly recommended.

We loved staying at this place right in the heart of Rethymno. The location was great, close to everything and Marinos was very helpful in recommending restaurants and parking to make our stay easier. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful apartment in a great location with a large balcony (but without sun). We felt very comfortable.

The place is amazing, the view splendid, wild nature, total change of scenery and especially the private and top beach. Well-equipped house. Ideal for relaxing, swimming, hiking with goats, no tourist commercial activities except restaurants. Secluded village, not at all touristy, if that's what you are looking for it is ideal. Attention, access to the house by car is really a track for about 100 to 200m, go very slowly with the rental car but largely doable. Attention only one supermarket in the village which was closed, 2 restaurants in the village not always open but very welcoming, speaking little English. Tip: really stock up on supplies for the duration of your stay in Charakas 30 minutes before arriving (provide enough to make a barbecue). Please note that access to the beach from the house is via a slightly steep path/staircase, not suitable for people who have trouble getting around.

We really enjoyed our stay. Harry was very responsive and friendly. The house was really nice, just as described, and had everything we needed. The view is beautiful—if you wake up early, you can see the sun rise right in the center of the big window and watch it move all the way up. The location is good. We did hear some highway noise, and there was a friendly group of dogs that barked in the morning. But at least you could pet them they were sweet. The hot tub was nice. Although we didn’t use it as much as we thought we would. It’s on the roof, and since the house has a central spiral staircase, you need to come down it to get back inside. That made it a bit tricky with wet feet and the April nights were a bit too chilly to stay on the roof for too long after the tub. But we really enjoyed using the BBQ. Overall, we had a great time. Harry’s hospitality was top notch.

We had a great week at this house at the sea. Our boys loved it. We will come back.

This place is a little gem! It was fantastically beautiful to wake up to the sounds of the sea, drink the first coffee on the small balcony, then have breakfast overlooking the sea, bathe in the sea (it's really only a few steps on a private path to the beach), reading on a lounger on the terrace in the shade, cooking (the kitchen is well equipped) or eating delicious in a restaurant in the evening. My husband and I loved the peace and seclusion of this little village. In the small mom and pop shop there is everything you need for cooking, for the bathroom or small souvenirs. I would like to emphasize and praise the communication with Nikolas, who was always friendly, helpful and quick. When we arrived at the apartment, we were greeted with bread, milk, a filled fruit basket, wine, water and because we were there over Easter, a few Easter eggs. We have rarely felt at home so quickly and would very much like to come back.

Heike's place was super well maintained and had everything your heart desires. We felt comfortable and enjoyed our time very much! Heike was also on site on the day of our arrival and personally gave us many helpful tips and explained everything necessary. She was also quickly available to us at any time. Utensils for grilling meat and fish were also fully available. The surrounding small towns with numerous localities are quickly and easily reached by car. If you are athletic, you can also do it on foot :) . But even at home you can unwind, either in a hammock or a lounger.

It was one of the best places we visited. The place is new and has everything you need. It was very clean, the view was incredible, and communication and support were excellent. The grill was also great. Thank you so much for the wonderful vacation!

We stayed at Nikos's place from 10/6-10/12. The sea view was great. In the evening we heard the sea rushing. 2 minutes to the beach. The water was clear and pleasant 25°. There were not many people on the beach, a pleasant atmosphere. The island offers many attractions, the old town of Rethymno is worth a trip alone. The prices are ok. The Greeks are nice and hospitable. Nikos was on hand when we had an issue. Very friendly and helpful. We recommend this place👍. Regine and Heike from Germany🙋🙋.

Very nice place in a great location right on the beach promenade. Tastefully decorated, dishwasher and washing machine are also provided. Two balconies in the east and west, you always had shade or sun. Maria was super nice, expected us and instructed us. Thanks for the great stay!

We spent very nice four days here. The view is really beautiful and in 10 minutes you can walk to a supermarket. In front of the house you could park well.

This place cannot be faulted, excellent host, we wanted for nothing. Great location for centre of town, easy walking distance to amenities, would come back here again without hesitation

We really enjoyed being guest at Dimitris place. The apartment is very cosy and welcoming. The kitchen was very well equipped (oil, vinegar, spices, sugar, coffee).

The apartment is perfectly located to explore the island, you are in the center of the island, immediately on the highway (recommendation: before moving in, be sure to practice driving backwards to the mountain!!) and yet the apartment is very quiet and has a great view of the sea. Especially the small balcony directly above the sea appealed to us, even if it might be a little too hot/not shaded in summer. Here you can also quickly make friends with the 4 cats, who occasionally also drive the neighbor dog to whiteness. Those who are afraid of cats should prefer to look for another apartment with these attached specimens, cat lovers will love it. Marianna's mother is a good soul, bringing eggs from the in-house chickens as well as fresh fruit and vegetables. All in all for us the perfect place to combine exploring the island with relaxation.

We loved our stay in Alex's apartment. Tris Ekklisies is a perfect peaceful seaside village, away from the crowds. The beach is so close and we loved the quiet side, finding a spot under a tree for the day. The sea is great for snorkeling and there are a few tavernas to choose from. The drive down the mountain is spectacular, we recommend Sunny Hill Cafe for a drink or some food on the way. The apartment was lovely, bright and comfortable. We hope to be back one day!
