Holiday rentals with a home theatre in James River

Dylan was very helpful with making sure my request to be on the first floor with a ramp was met for my 87 year old grandmother. He responded back quickly and was super nice. Would definitely go back. My family loved it there it was so much to do. Everything was in walking distance.

We had an amazing stay at Theo’s place! Everything was perfect clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The thoughtful touches and great communication made our trip so enjoyable. We’d absolutely love to return! Highly recommend!

Place was really clean and comfortable. Would be a great place for bringing a family. Onege was very responsive, friendly and flexible! She made sure to make my pups feel welcome with their own dog beds and bowls. I do want to note that this home does have a unit upstairs but it still felt private. The place is very spacious and does make you feel like you have the whole house to yourself.

Eugene was an excellent host! He met us when we arrived took us up to the condo showed us everything explained how to get in and out of the garage. Told us several places that were close by to eat at. His place is right in front of the James river. There is lots of walking trails, you’re near the canal you’re near the park very walkable. I will always contact Eugene when I go to Richmond so I can stay at his place again!

Elizabeth was a wonderful host. She was friendly, informative and responsive. This was our 3rd stay at Kingsgate and it never disappoints. It has become my kids (13,15) favorite place to visit. They tell all their friends. There are tons of activities, including a movie theater. We found out recently that the outdoor pool is heated so you are not limited to just the indoor pool during the colder months. They have a wonderful pool side bar and grill. My kids always ask for the slushies :-). The room is nice and spacious. Even the pull out couch is comfy! It has a full size kitchen with everything you may need. I love the little nook in the master suite, ideal for reading. The balcony is great to enjoy your morning coffee or the peaceful evenings. There is plenty of space for everyone. We never feel crowded. It is the perfect family getaway no matter the age. I highly recommend this property and look forward to checking out other Wyndham properties as well.

I am a repeat visitor and still as impressed with the Loft as I was my first time! I really love the location near the park and river. On my last visit it felt like coming home - Thank you 😊.The host is wonderful (and the breakfast as well). Looking forward to my next visit.

This is a great place. Nice and clean. I do want to advise that the walk down to the door is walking through grass and down a hill. It didn't bother me at all but just something to be aware of. Also as other reviews state make sure to follow the extra rules. Another thing to be aware of is the place is kept nice and cool. You might need a sweatshirt if you get cold easily. Again I was glad it was nice and cool. we really enjoyed the theater room and the pool table. Oh and the pacman arcade :) Thanks for the stay.

Alisha was very helpful with all the questions I threw at her, before and during our stay. it was very peaceful and private. we loved the movie room. it was wonderful to be able to see movies on a big screen. would definitely recommend if you are staying in the area.

Our stay was great! The location is secluded and quiet which is exactly what we were looking for. He was so helpful to make sure the amenities were enough for all of the guests coming. The screened in patio was a little dirty and dusty but the house was great. It was so nice to stay in a place that had more than enough paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher liquid, etc! Overall exactly what we were looking for in our Memorial Day trip!

We stayed for our daughter's graduation from Wake Forest. It is about 30 min from campus, which wasn't too bad, and gave us much more space for our whole family than we would've had any place we looked closer to campus. It was so spacious and the property is lovely and quiet. We didn't use the kitchen for cooking, but it was well-appointed & seemed it had anything we could need. Loved the screened in porch too!

This was our second year in a row visiting Julya’s place! Our family loved it so much last year we booked as soon as we could for this season. The house was just as beautiful as we remembered, the kids even said it felt like home the second day. All the thoughtful things included are so nice (blackout shades for the kids, all the kids kitchen stuff, extras for all usable items, beach items). And we love the location! Easy to get to activities, we very much enjoyed the marine museum, the Imaginarium, fishing on the shea-d-lady, and sailing with Sail Solomons. Island Hideway was huge hit with the whole family for dinner. The house is an easy walk to the beach and the view is so cool, feels like a beach treehouse. Will hopefully be back again next year (if not at the end of this season!) 😁 Thank you Julya!!

Whether it's a big family or friend get to gather; you will have an amazing time at this home. I literally can't think of anything more I would want in a get away! Andy and Ling were always responsive and very kind. Thank you for the great time.

Ashley was such a wonderful host. She was very responsive and went above and beyond in helping us prepare for the trip prior to our check in. It was a pleasure to get to enjoy her house. It gave our family the perfect vacation “home base” we felt a retro-modern vibe throughout the interior and the outdoor spaces were perfect for spotting deer, and relaxing at dusk after staying busy during the day, with all of the resort amenities!

Perfect setting for our family to reconnect. Host was great with communication and the home was unique. Very welcoming and fun!

The place was perfect for everything we wanted to see in the area. Beautiful house, very clean and filled with amenities! The kids loved all the gaming machines and the “big” kids loved the pool table!! We all had a great time. The hosts are always available to help out with any thing you may need!

Loved the resort and all the different things to do. We will definitely visit again, had a great time!

Michael is an excellent host. Our stay was outstanding. Clean roomy comfortable plenty to keep everyone busy. Supplies of everything were ample. Thanks for having us. So happy we were close to all the attractions we enjoyed. I could not have asked for a better stay!

We arrived at the greeting center. Many staff members were there to help you and check you in. The property is big and alot to do each day. It was clean and very well kept. The room was clean and well equips with everything you needed to cook. Anytime we needed something: towels, tissues etc they were delivered immediately to the room. Never had to wait. We did have a hot water issue but it was corrected within an hour. We would definitely go back.

Everything was exactly like it was stated. We came with our 2 daughters and their partners. Having a separate living room and kitchen for us and them made everything simple and gave us all plenty of space. The amenities were wonderful for any age that might stay there.

Michael's place was clean and extremely comfortable. It was within a 15 minute drive to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg, as advertised. The varied amenities kept our kids (ranging from almost 15 to 4) all occupied and everyone enjoyed their vacation. Highly recommend.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The place had everything you could need and Margaret was a wonderful host. She was so quick to answer every question and went over and above to make sure our stay was wonderful. It was such a relaxing time being right on the lake. We took advantage of the paddle boards she provided as well as spent way too much time on the Pickleball courts. Definitely would recommend this place.

It's easy to be a great host when everything goes right, but it's harder when everything goes wrong. The lock broke so we couldn't get in. Mary Ann responded immediately, had someone there to help us within half an hour, worked on alternative places for us to stay in case they couldn't get the lock replaced, and generally did everything she could to get us settled as quickly as possible. Would stay again knowing that we'll be taken care of in emergencies. The condo itself was lovely, right by the beach, and in the middle of everything you could want.

Great place for a long Busch gardens/Water country weekend. Me, my two kids, and another small family shared the rental. It had plenty of space and everything we needed, and was a good value! about 15 minutes from the amusement parks. Michael was responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
