Apartment holiday rentals in James Island

This place is great!!! Fantastic location right on the downtown main street with tons of great restaurants, etc, but is upstairs and private and reasonably quiet. Really liked their decor, host was very proactive as well. I'll definitely be staying here whenever I'm in the Charleston area

We loved our time at Bayview's Secret. Richard and his wife were awesome hosts and the place was clean, stylish and cozy. The location was perfect for attending my daughter’s graduation from submarine school on the Yorktown nearby, and we were close to several other great shops and restaurants. Richard and his wife were incredibly welcoming and hospitable and generously accommodated us in many ways. They even made sure we had some champagne to celebrate our special occasion. We hope to be back again in the future and would definitely recommend Bayview's Secret to anyone visiting the area.

I had a great stay at this apartment in downtown Charleston. The neighbourhood is interesting, diverse, walking distance from all the restaurants, bars, waterfront - some parts are a little run down but I walked everywhere and felt safe and found it interesting. The ground-floor apartment itself has been beautifully renovated and is well equipped and very clean. I found it quiet. Check in was easy, communications were great. The dedicated parking space was a bonus. Overall I would highly recommend this airbnb and would stay here again.

This was our second time staying here! It's so clean and they have put a lot of intention and thought into their space! 2 minute walk to the beach and close to all the restaurants! Perfect location! Thanks for a great vacation!!!

Amazing bnb just steps to the beach. We went to burts, a 24 hour market before the beach and stocked up on snacks and drinks and walked straight into the beach every day. It was 20 mins from downtown Charleston where we were able to do several tours and museums during the day, And then come back to the bnb and relax at the beach or many restaurants in walking distance to the bnb. Entering the apartment was super easy and the check out instructions were very clear and easy to follow. We had an awesome stay and hope we find ourselves in folly beach again soon.

Loved our stay! This was the most perfect place for our family. It was well stocked with everything we needed and we loved the small treats! They really thought of everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The location is also perfect. It’s in a great neighborhood near Shem Creek so you’re close to everything! We hope to be back again!

The perfect stay! Communication with Laurie was excellent from the start. The apartment was even more spacious than I expected, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. It’s located in a quiet, peaceful area but just a quick Uber ride to all the action. Laurie went above and beyond, everything was clearly labeled, which made settling in easy. I really appreciated all the thoughtful touches and attention to detail. The decor was beautiful and made the space feel extra welcoming. I highly recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed!

Had a great 3 days at Mary’s place exploring Charleston. The apartment was beautiful and very clean. Everything was great. Check in & out instructions were very clear. Most of the time we walked to wherever we were headed for the day—occasionally we then Uber/Lyfted back. Parking was not an issue. We parked on the street right beside the property. As Mary clearly states in her description, there is traffic/city noise. This was not a problem for us, but if it would bother you, bring ear plugs for sleeping, or choose another destination ;-) Overall, this is a fantastic property!

We absolutely loved Danelle’s place. It was so cute and very clean. Loved seeing the alpacas. We don’t go to that area often, but if we go back, we will definitely stay again.

Heather's place in Folly Beach was nice, airy, and super cozy. Just a block from the beach right in the middle of everything.

This place is lovely and PEACEFUL. I actually really enjoyed the small tucked away bedroom and slept like a ROCK in there. It’s very neat yet homey and they have everything you could possibly need and then some. We’re talking coffee, creamer, sweetener, ice cream scoop, ice, pizza slicer, even some spices. Highly recommend this place!!

We liked this location a lot. It was very convenient to King Street and the local area and the host was clear and communicative. The place was very nice inside and we found it very comfortable to come back to after a long day. The King bed was very comfortable and the bedroom has blackout curtains. Some minor downsides were that there was quite a bit of street noise and bar patrons at night, particularly Saturday night. There is a white noise machine in the bedroom, which helped. They provided a pack and play and a crib for our baby, which were clean and where we expected to find them after a long day.

The location was great! Very walkable to King street and other locations. It was a great stay, the home was very clean and it was located in a quiet area. Very nice!

This was such a great find! Very clean and tidy studio with full-sized bathroom and kitchenette. I was surprised to find that it had everything we needed for cooking meals and spending a few days away while not feeling overcrowded or cluttered. This really is perfect for a getaway for 1-2 people. We were close to everything and spent a lot of time exploring Charleston and the surrounding areas. Our host was great, too! He was nice, thoughtful, and responsive. Definitely would stay again!

The host were great, this was exactly what we were looking for. It’s very convenient to downtown and walkable to almost everything. They even went the extra mile and added a sound machine to the bedroom to block out the noise. You’re staying in downtown, people tend to have a good time and may get a little loud. The sound machine blocked out 100% of the noise. The place was extremely clean, I highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in downtown.

We had an amazing stay. The photos don’t do it justice. It was absolutely stunning. The host was very helpful and very responsive. We definitely plan on booking again!!

What a beautiful location! Some of the most stunning sunsets I've ever seen! Great grocery store conveniently located close by! Close to restaurants and shopping!

Great place! We enjoyed our stay very much!

This was the perfect little getaway in its own little paradise. The apartment was spotless and Cliff ( the host) communicated well. The only problem we had was a misunderstanding on my part. This entire property is non smoking, not just the apartment itself, or the balcony, so if you’re a smoker, they just ask that you take a short walk(very short) to the road and smoke off property. This apt. Is located directly above the leasing office so the location is great! Close to all the amenities! Property is clean, we took the dog and there was very little evidence that it was a dog friendly complex. Owners very responsible about cleaning up after their little ones, and the dog park located within the complex is nice as well. Overall great stay and even though the smoking miscommunication that we had ( thought smoking on balcony was permitted) was a little inconvenience, we would stay again if cliff would have us! Cliff was always very quick to respond and very understanding! A++

Maxx did a great job making sure we had a place to stay for our beautiful weekend at Edisto! it was cozy and quite a blast. he's a 5 star host and we just love Edisto

Serenity’s property was absolutely amazing. Very spacious and clean. Enough room 10 people. We will definitely book again with her. Absolutely enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend the host and the property
