Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Inverness

Zoe’s Treehouse is a very comfortable house, completely private, quiet and serene, with beautiful views across the bay to the distant hills. We felt right at home. The kitchen is well supplied and stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals. Our family of four adults included gravel bikers, trail runners and hikers…and Point Reyes has plenty of gorgeous trails easily accessible from the house. If we have occasion to return to Point Reyes, we would definitely stay here again.

This property is amazing in every way. There’s a view from the ocean from almost every room, beautiful tile work and gorgeous, well appointed bathrooms. A sauna and extra hot hot tub. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need. The house itself is beautiful with private spaces, but also a large living room where everyone can gather around a beautiful tiled potbelly fireplace. It’s a short walk to the beach through a charming neighborhood. The host Rebekah was very communicative and generous, allowed us flexible, check-in and check out. I will 100% be staying here again.

This home has the most beautiful views and the house is wonderful as well. The furnishings were cozy, clean and comfortable. We had a fantastic stay and wished we could stay longer. Would definitely stay again if we are ever back in the area.

My girlfriend (now fiance) and I loved this home. It was beautiful to wake up and look in the backyard and just see a vineyard everyday. Pretty much has anything and everything you could think about needing at a home! The grill and hot tub were great to use! We took this time to celebrate our anniversary while also getting engaged at a winery nearby. The drive to the town was short and there was a gas station just right before going in. The privacy of the location is great and really gave us that comfortable setting to where we could be ourselves.

My husband, sister, brother-in-law and I have been taking little vacations in Point Reyes, from our S.F. homes, for 40 years, so we have we've stayed at lots of different rental properties, motels and hotels in the area. This March we stayed at Penny's Place for 5 nights. It was our first time staying at Penny's Place and we'd love to return to it every year from now on! The house and gardens feel private, while being well positioned in the village. The front garden has a lovely, unobstructed view of a meadow and the Inverness Ridge. The house is very clean and generously stocked with basic kitchen supplies, paper products, bedding and bath towels. All communication was efficient, timely and very pleasant. Penny's Place is a lovely, clean, house in a terrific location - walk to the bookshop, grocery store, restaurant, saloon or short drive to many great hiking trails. We hope to return many times.

Private, peaceful, unique, beautiful layout, easy to find, communicative owner. Even better than what we’d imagined. Thankful for the opportunity!

My kids and I had the best time at Kellie’s light-filled and happy get away home in Dillon Beach. Such hospitality, waking up to a view of the ocean, and a stone’s throw from the beach where we spent many hours. Thank you!

In the 17 years my parents (now father) have been coming to Mill Valley, this is by far the nicest place he has stayed in. It has the best location, walking distance to great restaurants, shops, and even a grocery store! The best breakfast place is literally right across the street! The unit is super spacious with a full-sized refrigerator and stove and cute little kitchen. There is even a washer and dryer in this unit! The bed was comfortable and the furnishings are lovely! Gary was amazingly responsive, courteous, and helpful with my father’s stay. He is great at communicating and was the best host! My father looks forward to staying here again in the future! Many thanks to Gary for making my father’s stay so memorable!

Ottoline’s place was safe, comfortable, peaceful, and clean. It was perfect for our weekend in the area. Otto was very helpful and responsive, and the place itself had everything we needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and kitchen was great to make food from the Whole Foods nearby. I would highly recommend.

This was our third time staying here. It is a clean and comfortable space with attractive furnishings and everything we needed for a two-week stay. We will return again next time we return to CA to visit family.

I have had the pleasure of staying at this special place several times. It is cozy and comfy with beautiful gardens. Walking to town is easy and hikes through the Cascades a special activity.

Loved this place - it was cozy and nicely appointed. The bed and bedding were really comfortable, and there were two bookshelves with a wonderful eclectic selection of books to read and/or borrow. So fun! And for being 1/2 block from downtown Fairfax, it felt quiet and private. Really a great place!

Very nice spot. Steve was proactive and responsive. Neighborhood felt extremely safe and was beautiful to walk around. It is a basement apartment so we would occasionally hear people moving around the upstairs but was never too loud or too early/late to bother us, just something to know if you’re sensitive to sound. Kitchen was very well equipped. Entire place was cozy and very central. Overall would definitely stay again, we loved the place!

One of my best Airbnb experiences to date! Erin was incredibly responsive and thoughtful throughout our stay. The apartment is stylish, comfortable, and impeccably clean—so much so that I joked with my husband it was even cleaner than my recent stay at a SoCal Hyatt. We absolutely loved it and would happily stay again!

The condo was beautiful and we felt right at home. The resort is amazing and had everything we could ask for and was a great location for getting out in Napa valley.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home is lovely and conveniently located. Mill Valley is a beautiful town. I would highly recommend this property.

One of my favorite locations ive stayed in. Beautiful scenery! Beautiful home, comfortable bed! I'd love to live there! Only complain is the entrance to parking, if you have a low car, the bottom will scrape horrible if you dont hug the wall. and if youre staying downstairs, youll hear upstairs foot steps, but that was only 1 morning. besides those 2 complaints, its a excellent Beautiful home!

Amy met me to give me the keys and walked me through the condo to explain everything. It was a very personal approach. She also reached out to me the first morning to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. Everything was spotless and very high end. The place was very quiet and peaceful. I especially enjoyed the patio. I would highly recommend Amy's place to anyone looking for a base to enjoy San Francisco. I intend to stay again the next time I need a place in San Francisco for a few days.

I read all the reviews online about Kimberly's place so I knew it would be nice. The large closet was awesome, comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen. The only problem I had (I knew this ahead of time) was hearing the owner's kids above us. Most of the time, no problem and never at odd times. I did feel the parents were as courteous as possible for 2 small kids but it was hard to take a nap a couple of times. I am used to a single home so this may play into it. I still recommend their place but keep in mind, occasionally, you hear people upstairs as also written in other reviews.
