This Beautifully Appointed Modern Guest House is a detached standalone structure set back from the main family residence on a gated secure lot with a dedicated off-street guest parking space. • Swimming pool is a shared amenity w/ hosts and is not heated. • Hot tub is not available to guests. • Non-smoking / vaping property • Two Airbnb guests only per stay — No visitors allowed. Stand alone detached dwelling with its own separate and private entrance. This is a brand new & spacious light filled modern living space featuring stunning view of the Los Angeles National Forest to the north. Beautifully appointed with modern but comfortable furnishings with a comfy queen sized bed and quality fresh linens - courtesy snacks and continental breakfast available. This is a stand alone private guest house - It has a 2nd floor access via a dedicated staircase and can be accessed 24 hours. Late arrivals are not a problem with us at all. You may park one personal vehicle in the driveway, we will assign a space for you. We live on the property and are available if you have any questions. We are respectful of your privacy and tend to be low key but do let us know if we can help in any way. We are happy to text with you when you are here or you can call us direct if you have any more elaborate queries. We are always available. The guesthouse is centrally located in between the communities of South Pasadena and Highland Park, Pasadena, Eagle Rock, and Downtown L.A. There are a variety of amenities, craft coffee shops, restaurants, and bars to suit any taste. 5 minute drive to South Pasadena & Highland Park downtown areas. 10 Minutes from Pasadena & Rose Bowl and 15 minutes from Downtown LA POOL USE We are a family of 4 and use the pool on a daily basis during the Summer & warm days. The pool is not heated. There is no lifeguard on duty and we are not liable for any incidents in regards to the pool. The pool is strictly for the use of the registered Airbnb guests ONLY - no other visitors are permitted to use the pool. No Glass or breakables in and around the pool area - plastic containers are available in the pool room. Please follow pool rules which are located in the handbook in the studio. Whilst we are happy to extend the use of the pool to our Airbnb Guests during daylight hours, please keep in mind that we run a tranquil private guest house and not a holiday resort.

Admire Amazing Views from a Modern, Zen-like Guest Suite

The studio is a large single room with beautiful concrete floors. It as a zen like vibe. The space combines a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a modern and minimal design. Its a custom built house that my wife and I designed. We moved into the house early 2017 and been working on getting the studio ready to rent on air bnb. It has a kitchenette. Flatscreen with access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO now and DVD player. A stereo and Vinyl player and wifi is in the room. Here is a link that gives some insight in the design process of the house for those who are interested. (URL HIDDEN) We live above the unit - pia tino and our five year old Yoko. We usually get up at 7:00 and leave the house by 8:00 or 8:30. In the evening Yoki is home by 5:30 or 6:00pm and goes to bed around 8:00pm. On the weekends we are in and out. The way the house is constructed sound travels between the floors. It’s possible you can hear steps or sound from above. That is the nature of our place. Out of the many guests we had it has never been an issue. But we want to point it out as two guests also mention it in their reviews. You have access to your private studio with separate entrance and deck with fire pit and grill. There is free parking on Baxter street 60’ down the hill from the entrance to or up on North Alvarado street. Its a safe neighborhood. The unit is on the lower hill side. Its 10 steps to get to the unit. Please let us know if you need help with your luggage. We are generally available and love to meet and interact with our guests. We can recommend restaurants, bars, things to do with kids etc. We can assist finding the things you need and love to do. The house is right on the cusp of Echo Park and Silver Lake, with great restaurants, bars, and cafes close by. The immediate neighborhood is super chilled, quiet, and safe and home to beautiful vistas. A few cafes and liquor store and elysian park are in walking distance. Otherwise car, bike or Uber are the best way to get around. There is a bus stop 300' from the house. We provide all general home amenities. There is a coffee maker, plenty of pods, The kitchenette is fully stocked and ready to use. There is a toaster/ grill, The AC/ heater is controlled by the main house. We usually have it set to 68-75 degrees. If it needs adjusting please let us know. There is also an additional mini heater and fan in the closet. We have two cats upstairs but they never go into the rental unit as the connecting door is usually locked.

Casa Carmona, a Mid-City Garden Oasis near Museums

Casa Carmona is a little oasis in the big city. It's convenient to just about anywhere you would want to visit while in Los Angeles. Private entrance allows you to come and go as you please. Very diverse selection of restaurants and there is a 7-11 as well as a small grocery store (that delivers) less than a block away if you would rather eat in. Laundromat and dry cleaners are one block away which is helpful for longer stays. Street parking is available. Convenient to public transportation. Full access to the guest house and the backyard area including lounge chairs and dining table. I live in the adjacent house so am able to offer help during guest's stay. I love meeting my guests from all over the world but respect your privacy and comfort! Casa Carmona sits behind a charming Spanish house in Wilshire Vista, a neighborhood created in the 1920s. This is a diverse and safe area, within walking distance of Museum Row and the Grove. Plenty of free parking is available. Approximately half my guests rent a car and there is unrestricted street parking available except for street cleaning on Tuesday afternoons. The other half of my guests rely on Uber and Lyft which are always available within minutes. There is plentiful public transportation within walking distance. One bus stop is less than a block away on one major street and another the opposite direction a block and a half from the house. There is also a Zip Car location less than a block away. The main bed is full size. The pullout sofa is twin bed. There is a small fridge/freezer, microwave oven, 2 burner electric cooktop, and George Forman grill for cooking. Also have a Keurig for coffee and electric tea kettle and assortment of teas. There is a end table that is gate-leg so can be used for in-room dining. Folding chairs in closet as well as extra folding table in closet. Hair dryer in bathroom. Plenty of closet space. Two luggage racks. Iron is provided. I also provide a beach blanket, tote and towels for excursions to the beach. For relaxation time at the Casa there are plentiful entertainment options including Amazon Echo, TV with Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime, many movies, PlayStation and several board games with even more available upon request!
