A quiet beach facing the Wadden Sea to the east, which is part of UNESCO's natural heritage, is only 500 meters walking distance on a path. Enjoy your morning coffee and tranquility on one of the lovely terraces or on the covered terrace. There is a great opportunity to see the northern lights in the winter months.

Kastanjehuset is a protected townhouse with a closed garden Kastanjehuset is centrally located in the old marsh town of Højer. It's one of the oldest houses in town. Højer is the entrance to the Wadden Sea, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage List. The home contains a living room with an open kitchen. This unique cottage is located on the idyllic Wadden Sea island of Rømø. The house is located on a hilly natural plot with 180-degree panoramic views of meadows facing Rømø's wide, white beaches. The house sleeps 6 (+1 baby bed) and has a sauna. The house is bright and friendly and has a nice view to the west. The house has a nice, large open wooden terrace with panoramic views to the southeast and west. From the property, there is direct access to a bike and walking path that leads to Lakolk and the wide sandy beach.

Our modern, very bright, approx. 70 m² ground floor apartment with a detached house character offers you an approx. 40 m² living/dining area with an open kitchen, dining area and fireplace, an office, a shower room with a walk-in shower, a separate bedroom, a large, covered terrace with a sauna and a sunken garden. The beach, city center and train station are within walking distance in approx. 10-15 minutes. The nearest supermarket is about 250 meters away. Dogs are very welcome here!

Halmhuset - The Straw House

Our thatched house is probably the only "Halmhuset" that is rented as a vacation home in Denmark. It is breathable, made of clay and straw, and is sustainably supplied by heat pump and photovoltaics. In summer, the thick walls provide pleasant coolness, in winter it is cozy and warm, with a room height of up to 4 meters. A real feel-good place for up to 8 people, located at the gates of the city of Tønder, close to the Wadden Sea National Park and the islands of Sylt and Rømø.

Our hyggelige cottage, ideal for beautiful and interesting excursion destinations, such as the Nordfr. Islands, Nolde Museum, North and Baltic Sea... Shopping on site or in the neighboring village, can be reached in 11 minutes by car. The magnificent natural location also invites you to cycle. Bicycles can be stored dry and locked. Children are ❤️welcome.

On beautiful natural grounds, secluded from the road is our cozy cottage. Modernized with new kitchen, bathroom, roof and facade. In addition, there is a wooden terrace facing both south and west, so you can enjoy the morning sun, the noon sun and the evening sun. The house has a heat pump that can easily keep the house warm. There is also a wood-burning stove as a supplement. (Bring your own firewood or buy it on the island) There is also chrome-cast for the TV.

There is space to grill, play or unwind. The garden is completely fenced. Of course, there is also a cot in the house. The beach is 15 minutes away by car. Approximately 40 minutes to Rømø. Charging hybrid and electric cars is prohibited
