Old Gardener’s House – a waterside paradise

The former gardener’s house, originally built in 1710, is nestled in the stunning natural landscape of the picturesque Holsteinische Schweiz, directly on the Schwentine River, one of Schleswig-Holstein’s longest rivers. In 2025, the house was lovingly restored with meticulous attention to detail. The result is a true gem situated directly opposite Schleswig-Holstein’s oldest manor estate. The surrounding landscape of lakes, fields, forests, and gentle hills lends the area its captivating charm.

The lovingly furnished terraced house comprises a living area of 98 m² on two floors. Extensive amenities with a high level of comfort await you. The open living area includes a cozy sitting area, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. The terrace with a southwest orientation is accessible directly from the living-dining area. The ground floor also has a guest toilet and a large laundry room. On the upper floor you will find two bedrooms, a sauna and a bathroom with shower and toilet.

Lovingly furnished hideaway directly on the nature reserve with great views in a very quiet location with fireplace and Wi-Fi. Wonderfully grown, the large garden provides plenty of privacy. The cozy living/dining area on the first floor impresses in summer with the large sliding window front that can be opened as well as in winter with the pleasant fireplace. All in all, a very comfortable house for those who want to spend their Baltic Sea vacation in a quiet but still beach location

Laundry packages can be booked for a fee, early check-in & late check-out on request.

A second small shower room with toilet and the utility room with washing machine can be found from the entrance area.

Our house can accommodate up to 8 people and is located 3 minutes by car from Lehnsahn and 15 minutes from Grömitz. It has a large garden overlooking the horse paddocks and is absolutely quiet. In the middle of Holstein Switzerland, close to the most beautiful beaches, surrounded by equestrian farms, lakes, forests and fields, lies our country house Frida. Linens can be booked. Lot of love and time I put in renovating the little house - the result is a small, quiet and bright pearl! The little house is full of beautiful unique features to make your vacation extra special. On the wonderful sofa by Anders Nørgaard you can really enjoy your time with a book or a cup of tea . Our kitchen is tailor-made, as we like to cook ourselves. In the bright bedroom - sloping roof, good mattresses, restful dreams.
