The home is located on historic grounds overlooking Oscarsborg. Right above the property is Kopåsbatteriet, a cannon position that participated in the protection of the German warship Blucher on April 9, 1940. Drøbak's oldest house, Thorsehuset from 1760, is located on the same property. The house is worthy of protection and safeguarded with extensive work.

From Vestby, it takes 20 minutes by train to Oslo. Swimming opportunities by the Oslo fjord are a 20-minute drive away. Tusenfryd amusement park 25 min. Unfortunately, there is no public transportation that passes by the property, so you are dependent on a car.

Trains will bring you to Oslo in twenty min. 15 min by car will bring you to the Oslo fjord in Asker.
