How about resting at the Fortress, overlooking the city, close to everything you need? Haldenhytta has a charm you discover as soon as you see the place at the top of the cobblestone hill. Here the hiking areas at the Fortress meet the old town center. The host lives here partially himself, so some private things will be visible. It is possible to rent rooms for a cheaper price if guests want to stay here while the host is at home. The house in the lush garden is located on the pilgrim's trail. Hikers with pilgrim passes are asked to state this.

Herfra bruker du 10 min til Gamlebyen, 15 min til Fredrikstad sentrum og 25min til Svinesund. Det er kort vei til badeplasser og campingplass og nærbutikken ligger bare en 10-minutters gåtur unna. Huset er fra 1850 og er totalrenovert i 2022. Verandaen er perfekt for sene sommerkvelder, usjenert og med nydelig utsikt

The ground floor is approx. 115 m². Here there are two large bedrooms, kitchen, living room, laundry room and a nice newly renovated bathroom. 2nd floor has two bedrooms. Sleeping/dining area for 10 people. High chair and sprinkler bed for children can be provided on request.
