Set in the foothills of the Cairngorm National Park, this is an ideal stop off between Inverness and Edinburgh. Balmoral Castle, Dunnottar Castle, Glamis Castle and St Andrews are nearby. The property dates back to the 1800s and your wing has been modernised in the last five years offering rustic charm with modern amenities. Close to golf clubs including 'Gleneagles', the major roads to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee are easily accessed and Perth is just 7 miles away. There various eateries we can recommend in the local area.

Luxurious Rustic Cottage B&B

Tucked away just 300m from Paxton House, Dene Cottage has 1 double room with luxury bath / shower room in a rustic fairytale setting with woodland walks along the river Tweed. There is ample parking for bikes or car. A single room is available, listed separately and is not let, unless agreed, when the double room is taken. If both rooms are booked the cost of the single is reduced. This is a ‘b&b’ not a self catering property but good breakfast is included.
