What a find. Such a beautiful location for our little break. Such friendly hosts. Everything was wonderful and our children are already asking when we can go back! Both Suzanne and Mark were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for making our stay so special 😊

Great to be back for a return visit. As always everything was clean and tidy. Andrew and Lisa are great hosts and always go above and beyond to ensure guests have a fantastic stay. There's plenty to do in the area, I spent the weekend cycling and it's really easy to jump onto the Waskerley Way, which is about a mile from the farm.

We had a relaxing week long stay here and absolutely loved it. The hut is kitted out with everything we needed, and for those used to hit stays it is perfect. The bed is comfortable and therrs plenty of space. We were treated to amazing dawn & dusk choruses, as well as seeing various wildlife from the hut including hares, pheasants, chiff chaff & even house martins. The hosts are warm and friendly, and the cake on arrival was delicious! We're already looking forward to another visit!

Super peaceful quiet retreat, just like the photos, well equipped, really charming, wish I'd been staying longer in slightly warmer weather!

We had the loveliest stay at “Josephine”. Emma was a gracious and thoughtful host who went the extra mile to make sure we were all set up and comfortable. The hut was beautiful, comfortable and full of personal touches which made the stay feel even further from the city. The local area was also lovely. No need to go far at all! We hope to be back :)

We had the best 2 night stay in the Shepards hut ! From being surrounded by the absolutely stunning gardens, meeting the wild ducks and peahen 🦚 🦆 to exploring the absolutely stunning coastline and the Galloway forest park it really had everything we could have asked for and more. Our Hosts were absolutely lovely and did everything to make sure we had an epic stay. We loved having the gardens to ourselves it felt like we’d walked into another world. The bed was super comfy and the hut had everything we needed for our stay ! It was so cozy and clean and we will definitely come back in the near future ! It’s located perfectly as well with the tearoom on site and only being a 15 minute drive from Stranraer and 13 minute drive away from the Kitchen Coos and Ewes which we highly recommend doing whilst in the area if you want to get up close and cuddle and groom highlands cows. Lovely hut, the kids had a fun night in the bunk bed. Great to have shower room.

Perfect quiet getaway with our 3 month old baby. Did get very hot due to heatwave, but lots of windows that can be opened and through draught. Amazing location, good kitchen, 2 hobs, fridge with freezer box section, good set of kitchenware. Bathroom, lovely shower and toiletries. All round perfect for our getway

This Shepherd’s Hut is gem on the Pennine Way. The hut is very sweet and cosy and perfect for a night or two. View from the window is over the sheep fields and we spend the evening sitting outside, watching swifts, swallow allows and house martins circling above us. The host could not have been more friendly and helpful and we felt at home straight from the start. We couldn’t recommend this place any more especially if you are hiking the Pennine Way and want somewhere special to stay.

Our stay at the property was brilliant. It's well located and Sarah and Liam provided information on things to do locally, as well as instructions on how to get there. Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The property itself was beautiful, the views were amazing and it felt very private and comfortable. It was very clean and provided all amenities needed, including a welcome basket which was much appreciated! A brilliant place to stay, I would highly recommend!

Brilliant stay, host extremely helpfully and had set the hut up beautifully. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to get away for a few days in peace and quiet.

We had a beautiful stay at greystone lodge everything was perfect and clean. Easy instructions on how to use services like the hot tub which was beautiful and had a great view. Carly was a great host, very helpful and answered any queries within minutes. We will definitely be returning!

Stunning location. Cosy, peaceful, very comfortable bed. Shep is AWESOME. Instantly felt relaxed , surrounded by Mother Nature. So many different variety of birds even had a hare visit us every evening. Lovely area for walking, even just around the farm to the pond for the bird life. Toilet system brilliant and eco friendly. Did not want to leave. Thank you Chris we will be back Helen and Andy -Cumbria

Very beautiful peaceful area, Nic's place was clean and cosy, had everything you need, it was private but there was another hut just next to us which surprised us. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and beautiful views, I recommend this to anyone who wants to relax and escape city noises.

Lovely place in great setting. Not mentioned on the listing but actually has full set of kitchen amenities (hob, air fryer, toaster) in one of the cupboards. Would definitely stay again

Just idyllic. The site is very happily situated being a mere 5 minute walk from quaint Pateley Bridge, yet so peacefully out of the way that it feels as though you're in your own little slice of wilderness. The hosts, Lizzie and David, were both so accommodating and friendly, making us feel very welcome. We were provided with detailed information on how to find the place and Lizzie greeted us with a quick tour. The amenities were clean and tidy with lovely little eco-friendly details which we really appreciate. The shepherd's hut itself was just so cute. The bed, tucked away in a cozy cubby, the little log burner in the corner. It had everything we needed in terms of cooking equipment, cutlery and crockery, and even fresh ground coffee and milk- not to mention the packet of shortbreads! We will definitely be returning!

Perfect, perfect, perfect. Did I already mention that it was perfect? We had the most wonderful stay here. The hut is so beautiful, cozy and VERY clean. I love when you can immediately tell that a host loves being a host and doesn’t only offer a place to sleep to make money. This place really has everything you need and there are so many lovely details. Alison really cares about her guest and wants to make sure they have the best time. It‘s the perfect place to calm down and recharge and also a great starting point to explore places like Fort William, Glencoe, Loch Ness, Inverness or even visit Skye. We areally appreciated the opportunity to take the canoe out on the lake. We would love to come back ☺️

Wow!! what an amazing “away from it all” hideaway, truly stunning. We stayed 3 nights and packed a lot in, walking, swimming, boating and soaking in the hot tub. If you want to destress, this is the place to come. Katie was very approachable and helped when we had trouble lighting the hot tub, we were so grateful 🙏. The little Shepherds hut is so quaint and has everything you need… just perfect, thank you… we had a great time, and will definitely be back soon.

Beautiful and cosy Shepard’s Hut! Faye is a great host and supplied everything we needed to feel right at home, including a basket of goodies on arrival! Would definitely recommend for anyone coming up to this area of Scotland!

Absolutely amazing . We fell in love the minute we walked through the gate the hut is adorable - beautifully decorated throughout . The bathroom was spotlessly clean with good quality toiletries and towels with a shower that worked well. The bed was very comfy and Anne had very kindly put a summer duvet on and left a fan available as the weather was so good . While the hut technically is in her garden you would never know it was so private and relaxing. We enjoyed time sitting in the garden with a glass of wine listening to the birds and we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere If you do have a dog then the garden is very secure - even for our Houdini pup. We didn’t use the hot tub as the weather was too hot ! I would highly recommend Anne and her beautiful shepherds hut and we will certainly be back if we can - perhaps for a few nights so we can enjoy all the area has to offer

we arrived late but the accommodation was as described with easy to follow directions .It was clean and reasonably well equipped.We had a great nights sleep as the bed was very comfortable and there was no noise.I woke up feeling refreshed and took my dog for a wander,it was an added bonus to have a lovely riverside walk on the doorstep Thanks
