The sleeping room in Wierum is a beautiful and cozy apartment with private sauna (for an additional fee), located in a former primary school 100 m from the Wadden Sea. It is located in the middle of the Unesco World Heritage Site, where you can intensively enjoy the peace and beauty of the Wadden area. The apartment is surprisingly spacious (70m2) and can sleep up to 5 people. Children can enjoy themselves on the trampoline, on the grass/soccer field and can also cuddle with our rabbits and guinea pigs.

There is an own parking lot, terrace (BBQ) and canopy/bicycle shed. The house is not for partying young people . Due to the open staircase, it is not suitable for young children. Oer it Fjild is intended for people who love to escape the hustle and bustle and love the countryside and peace. Changeover days on Mondays and on.

We had a wonderful weekend with our son (8) in Johannes' cottage. What attention has been paid to the construction and furnishing of this cottage, wonderfully how many details Johannes has managed to add, we recognised objects that our grandmother used to cook with or that were in her kitchen. The beds are comfortable, the cottage is equipped with every comfort. Bicycles are available, but you can also go many ways from here by car. We hope to come back to see more of the area.

Idyllic cottage by the river

We were there for a longer period of time. The location is fantastic, you can sit directly on the water in the sunshine and enjoy a coffee and watch the ships. The dog also felt comfortable and could run freely. At the back of the garden is bordered by. The neighborhood is very nice and very helpful. In addition to a pizzeria and a barbecue snack, there is unfortunately no way to eat and drink anywhere in the evening, unless you drive 10 km further, but since we had a bike with us, ( there are also two available there), this was no problem for us and you can do what you want to do in the area beforehand, or what is offered. As Simone has already described for 1.90 m tall people, as we are, it was a challenge above, but we knew that before, because it was in the listing. All in all, a beautiful cottage quaintly furnished and in the kitchen everything is available and a very nice hostess.

Coach house near Organic Farm

In 2016, I already spent a weekend with friends in the Coach House. I liked that, so just booked again. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Sjoerd and Jeltsje. Fresh eggs, flowers and a welcome card on the table. The Carriage House is an oasis of peace just a few minutes from Dokkum. Behind the cottage you can enjoy the beautiful view from the wind in the spring sun. Also nice that we were free to take a look in the stables. In the evening we had a nice glass of wine in the hot tub. The downside was the extra cost; the hot tub was more expensive than listed on Airbnb and it was also not indicated that we had to pay extra for the towels (€15 for 5). Too bad, because we would have brought them ourselves. Nevertheless, it is and remains a great place to relax and enjoy.

Very nice house with a lot of charm and character. We had a great time! The old school is very lovingly furnished with many beautiful and thoughtful details. The village is small, the area is very quiet with lots of nature. It's not far to the Wadden Sea, we had a great guided mudflat hike. The accommodation is highly recommended, the hosts very nice and helpful. Thank you!
