Ideal for 1-2 guests, but a baby or small chid is welcome (providing that you bring your own travel cot & bedding with you).

The Cart Lodge - a rural country retreat.

Relax in this detached former cart lodge surrounded by beautiful countryside and located in the owners’ grounds in a great rural location. The Cart Lodge can accommodate up to 5 people, with the Master Bedroom having a King size bed and the second bedroom having a Queen size bed and single bed. We take the utmost care in cleaning the property including disinfecting frequently touched surfaces between reservations so that it is safe for our guests upon arrival.

The Annex is a delightful well-appointed, 2 bedroom, wheelchair friendly self-contained extension to our home with dedicated private access. Our property is located on the outskirts of the traditional village of Kelvedon in Essex. Whether you are coming for a relaxing weekend getaway, meeting friends and family, coming for a wedding or family celebration in the area or wanting to stay longer, a warm and friendly welcome awaits you.

A modernised bungalow in the centre of the historic town of Colchester. New kitchen fitted December 2024, and a new modern wet room fitted December 2024. 3 minutes walk to high street, the park, and the castle. It has a back garden with plenty space for off road parking in the front garden, including a long van. 7 minutes drive from the A12. 15 minutes walk to the north station with regular trains into London.

The Stables

The stables are a light airy open plan barn conversion finished in 2018. A sumptuous king size bed. Your own private entrance with your own kitchen with a starter pack all ready for your stay including continental breakfast for one morning There is Wi-fi within the barn. We are 20 minutes to Mersea island, 5 minutes to Colchester zoo and 10 minutes from the magnificent Layer Marney Tower.
