Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Government of Amsterdam

Absolutely loved our stay! We were 5 adults plus a 1yo so we loved that there was a large living area down stairs for her to play with toys, plus a baby gate on the stairs. The rooms are very spacious and we felt right at home with everything we needed, it was very warm and cosy. We were there over new years and the neighbours let off a fireworks show around the streets which was fun to see since we were just relaxing at home! The washer & dryer were very handy but will say the dryer took a few rounds to dry our clothes - could be us translating the dryer incorrectly though 😂 The location was good - it’s about a 15 min walk to the ferry then a 15 min ferry to get to central station. Or a 10 min bus then 10 min train into central area. Not the closest stay to the central area but well located for the price! To stay closer would have been expensive. But fine if you are ok for 30 mins travel in each day which was ok for us. The ferry is free, and busses/trains are cheap anyway! 😊

Fantastic accommodation, perfect location! Definitely a gem for Amsterdam!

Eine kleine, aber saubere Wohnung auf 2 Etagen in einer ruhigen Umgebung. Ein Mini-Garten/Terasse. 7 min. bis nächster Tramhaltestelle und dann ca.25 min bis zum Zentrum. Aldi und Jumbo - ca.7-8 min zu Fuss zu erreichen. Die Kommunikation mit Antonio und Fiecke war perfekt!

Abbiamo alloggiato nell’appartamento di Francine per cinque giorni con mio marito e i nostri figli. L’appartamento era pulito, in ordine e ben arredato, c’è un bel giardino interno e un bel parco con dei giochi per bambini proprio di fronte l’appartamento. la zona dista circa 20 minuti dal centro di Amsterdam ma è ben collegata dalla metro (a 5 minuti a piedi dall’appartamento) ed è molto silenziosa e ricca di verde (cosa che a noi ha fatto molto piacere vivendo in una grande città). Francine è stata disponibile sin dal primo momento, mi ha dato informazioni utilissime e ci ha anche regalato un pacco di biscotti come benvenuto. Ho apprezzato la cortesia e gentilezza di Francine, oltre alla pulizia dell’appartamento che è ben tenuto e ha tutto ciò che serve. Non da ultimo Francine ha messo a disposizione bagno schiuma, shampoo, asciugamani per tutta la famiglia e cialde del caffè. oltre alle stoviglie che sono presenti in cucina e che possono essere utilizzate. Ottima esperienza!

Abbiamo trascorso qualche giorno a Diemen: la casa di Fons era spettacolare. Accogliente, pulita, gli spazi ampi. Fons un padrone di casa magnifico: sempre disponibile con consigli e indicazioni, ci ha fatti sentire come a casa nostra, lasciando a nostra disposizione 4 biciclette (eravamo in 4) e tante comodità in casa. Gli ambienti erano esattamente come in foto: la casa dava un senso di calore, come fossimo da un amico. C'era di tutto oltre i soliti the e caffè: è un segno di grande e generosa ospitalità, che abbiamo molto apprezzato. Un piccolo problema con la lavastoviglie, ma Fons molto disponibile nei nostri confronti si è occupato di tutto. Raccomandiamo questa casa a cui abbiamo dato 5 stelle: pulita, curata e accogliente. Questo che rende il viaggio ad Amsterdam molto piacevole e rilassante. Fons impagabile, 5 stelle anche all'host :)

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in einer Wohngegend ab vom Trubel, aber sehr gut angebunden mit Tram und Bus. Gemütlich und genug Platz zu viert. Mark war sehr freundlich, gut und schnell zu erreichen. Obwohl er während unseres Aufenthalts nicht in der Unterkunft war, war es genau das „ursprüngliche“ Airbnb-Erlebnis: zu Gast bei sympathischen, freundlichen, interessanten und interessierten Menschen. Sehr gerne ein nächstes Mal!

Unsere Familie hat unseren Aufenthalt im Haus von Joost sehr genossen. Wir und unsere drei Kinder hatten viel Platz und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus befindet sich in der Nähe der U-Bahn-Station und der Straßenbahnhaltestelle, von wo aus man alle Sehenswürdigkeiten erreichen kann. Der Gastgeber bietet auch Fahrräder an, die sehr praktisch sind, um die Gegend zu erkunden.

This is a terrific location in a nice area of the city center, right along a pretty canal. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The central train station is a 10 minute walk. The apartment has a relatively large living space with a bedroom area and convertible sofa. There was plenty of dishware and utensils for dining at “home”. There was also a washing machine but no dryer, so we did not use the washer but it was available with clothes pins etc. for hang drying. The bathroom had a clean shower with nice hot water and plenty of supplies like soap, shampoo and conditioner. Douwe was extremely responsive to our needs. We arrived early but he generously allowed us to check in while he finished cleaning the bathroom. He made us feel that he’d be available if we needed anything. I would definitely stay here again on a return trip to Amsterdam.

The apartment is sunny and bright, clear of clutter, well lit, and so nice to be in. From the get go, Armand was incredibly responsive, and if there was anything I needed or had a question about, he was right on it. The location is also terrific, close to transit, can walk to so much, beautiful parks nearby, shopping, etc. It made for a wonderful "home" while in Amsterdam. Bedankt Armand! - Nina

Très bel appartement, situé dans un quartier calme près de l'Oosterpark. Une grande terrasse très appréciable pour les soirées. Le tout à 15 min en vélo de la gare, des musées... Merci Petra pour votre accueil et votre confiance.

Dani's place was super comfortable and quiet yet in the heart of everything! Easy to get around, there were lots of local cafes, restaurants and the big market just steps away! Dani offered recommendations, super clear instructions and was friendly and flexible - definitely recommended!!!

I absolutely loved my 3 week stay here, it has everything you could need. It instantly felt like home and includes many small details that makes your stay easy and pleasant. You can really tell that Han's has given good thought and care into the space. He is an absolutely wonderful host that I hope to stay with again in the future. The location is amazing, as other reviews has said, it's the perfect distance from the city center/centraal station(10-20min). Even if you don't feel like going that far, there are many delicious restaurants within 1 block. Grocery stores, museums, the zoo and plenty else to do within 3 blocks! During the day the neighborhood is lively and active, but it never feels overcrowded. There's a constant stream of pedestrians, bicyclist, bridge raises, and boats passing in the canal to watch. During the night it a very peaceful and quiet neighborhood. Bonus points for stable and fast wifi and an awesome hot shower. You won't be disappointed staying at Han's😁👍

We had an amazing stay, Peter and I kept in touch about arrival times and he was there to meet me on arrival and show me around and provide guidance on buses and local restaurants. The apartment was spacious and inviting, bed rooms were very comfortable, great shower room and very nice to relax in and catch up with my friends. I would recommend highly recommend this accommodation

I cannot recommend Markus and her rental enough. We were 4 adults including my 84 year old mom and the place worked so well for us. Fantastic neighborhood with restaurants and shops very close; best of all 5 minute walk to Vondelpark for a stroll, a beer or coffee and a respite from the crazy hustle of Amsterdam. Peaceful and well appointed home that was free of clutter. I only realized this was a family home when Markus told me. Separate places to get space. Downstairs bed for my mom (no stairs). I will recommend to friends and family!

This was a perfect stay for my first trip to Amsterdam. The cleanliness, location, and convenience of this unit were absolutely amazing. The hosts were very responsive and extremely helpful by also providing an itinerary of activities, surrounding neighborhoods, and restaurants. Not to mention we were practically right around the corner to one of the best parks in the city that we walked through every single day. Hopefully I can stay here again on my next visit!

This lovely place is right off the park, walkable to restaurants, shops and even to the museums (through the park), and just a 20 min ride to the city center. It's in a VERY family friendly area!! The host is excellent -- very friendly and helpful and quick with responses. The flat is fully appointed and even has a little back patio, but 2 of the bedrooms are quite small, and the stairs between floors are steep!

We had a great stay at Joze’s Amsterdam apartment!! Great communication with the owners, a lovely natural light apartment with balcony and easy transportation options ( 2 tram lines within a 6 minute walk). Joze makes it very clear about the steep canal house stairs. The two flights are steep but there are lights and railings which I appreciated as I’m in my 70’s. We loved our stay in this peaceful neighborhood.

Peter was very friendly and responsive. The place has a very nice backyard, and the appartment is surrounded with many shops and coffees. The location is so good, there’s no need for any transportation, you can walk everywhere. Thanks to Peter for hosting us in this lovely apartment.

Mia was extremely friendly and helpful. The place was cosy and comfortable and In a calm and beautiful area of town. Would definitely go back!

Appartement lumineux, spacieux et très propre, a proximité des transports en commun pour rejoindre le centre d'Amsterdam en 15 min ! J'y reviendrai avec plaisir, encore merci !

Wir hatten sehr schöne Tage in Amsterdam - und die Wohnung liegt super ruhig, aber trotzdem ist die Innenstadt gut erreichbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und der Spiel- und Fußballplatz gegenüber hat unseren Kindern viel Spaß gemacht. Dank an die Gastgeber, sie waren sehr freundlich ind immer erreichbar! Gerne wieder!!
