Holiday rentals with lake access in Frisia

This is a great location to explore the lake from and has lots of amenities available for the guests to keep kids busy. Hosts were so friendly and welcoming and made us feel at home. Super nice hosts, lovingly decorated house, very clean and well maintained equipped with anything that makes the stay enjoyable. The beautiful complex in quiet surroundings is ideal for quiet and relaxing relaxation and deceleration. Great tips and uncomplicated contact with the hosts. From the super beautiful garden to the smallest details of the amenities, you can see that Angelika and Jan have invested a lot of love and work and invest for the well-being of the guests. The apartment is great, but the absolute highlight is the terrace on 3 sides of the house, right on the water. The large glass fronts in the living room provide a view of the water, which makes the apartment special even in cool temperatures. The only downside is that you'd rather not go on an excursion, but just stay in the apartment.

Only one night – but full of impressions. Rysum welcomed us with its quiet beauty, and the "Alte Bäckerei" was a very special place to arrive and feel good. Furnished with a lot of love and a lot of taste, the listed house radiates a warm, honest atmosphere – you can feel its history. And for me as a person trained in the craft, I particularly liked the artistic master's certificate of the former resident, when I compare it with my boring journeyman's certificate (but also almost 100 years later). Thank you for this little break in a great place and a great village.

We were a family of five adults and a five-month-old baby for a week in the old painter's house of Christin and Willi. We had a very nice time in the house and were able to enjoy the quiet garden right on the water in good weather, especially in the first days, and watch the cows grazing on the other side of the water. But even with the bad weather in the second half of the week, we had it very cozy in the house in the spacious living room with fireplace. The location is wonderfully quiet for relaxing or taking walks along the dike. Christin and Willi even provided us with a travel cot for our baby. The communication with the two was great, they were always helpful and with good tips (e.g. the trip to Groningen was very worthwhile). Everything in the house was also very clean and well maintained. All in all, the perfect accommodation for a family getaway. We will be happy to come back!

One of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed in! It was spotlessly clean (not a speck of dust anywhere!), everything had been thought of (including a welcome bottle of bubbles!), it was spacious, and very convenient for public transport....oh, and stylishly decorated! Being close to the train station meant that we could easily get into central Amsterdam, as well as go on day trips to Rotterdam and Zaanse Schans during our stay. Our favourite day was renting bikes in Zaanse Schans for the day and enjoying cycling through the countryside. Very happily recommend this place to others looking for a base near Amsterdam.

The check-in was straightforward and all the important information was super prepared. The highlight is the view over the water and the terrace, from which you can access the lake directly via a ladder. We were already there for the second time and would be happy to come back.

Beautiful days in a beautiful accommodation. It was perfect (except for the weather😅). We immediately felt at home. The view of the lake exactly as described. Comfortable beds. We had a great stay! The apartment is located in a quiet and natural environment, is tastefully decorated and equipped with all comforts. Everything was sparkling clean and well cared for. The location is ideal: you can be in Harlingen and Franeker in no time. Ympkje is an incredibly friendly and attentive host, who is always ready. We felt welcome right away. A wonderful home away from home. Great size beds, comfortable add ons, large dining room table. Water views and a short walk from Harderwijk town centre. Dennis was really flexible with our check in as we got held up but that didn’t bother him. Highly recommend and we cannot wait to return!!

The apartment is simply beautifully located on both sides by the water, with magnificent views. There is really everything you need for a successful vacation, the kitchen is well equipped and everything very clean. The apartment is ideally laid out, even if you are traveling with children. There are two separate spacious bedrooms with large double beds and the parents can still sit quietly in the beautiful living room or on the balcony in the evening. We made excursions to Legoland (just under 1 hour away) and to the surrounding towns, both very nice. Looking for mussels and amber on the beach right outside the front door was great for the children. Jesper was super friendly and always available when we had questions, check in and out were quick and hassle-free. Thank you for the lovely Easter getaway!

We had such a wonderful stay! The apartment was easy to find, looked like the photos, and has a well equipped kitchen. It was nice and spacious and well suited for two couples and dog. Great communication from Andrea and Jörg. We would definitely recommend a stay here if you are looking in the area!

Trudy is a very sweet and attentive hostess who has good tips for activities and excursions. The accommodation is very clean and quiet, perfect for a break. Would come back at any time 🌞

Lovely stay at Rudis cottage.After two weeks travelling around Europe we wanted a couple of night to relax and this was the perfect place. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and Rudi even brought us a fan when the temps hit 31 and the place was so hot. We were lucky to have a storm and be able to watch out over the nature reserve was amazing. We also ate at De Heeren van Maarssen nearby and the food was beautiful.

We had the best and most enjoyable holiday with the family at Majken and Kurt's. We loved everything about the cozy house, the garden, the location, the tranquility and the nearby offers for children. In addition, there was a quick and helpful response if we needed it. I can only recommend a holiday with Majken and Kurt in their cozy cottage. We hope to return again one day.☺️

Absolutely a highlight! What a lovely home with lots of privacy, well appointed kitchen with good stuff and lovely beds. Beautiful boat rented and sauna on the water was really great!

Best location for access to Edam. Steps away from the cheese market. Ample parking for an SUV. Bathroom on par with American standards - nicer than most European bathrooms. Washer and dryer are full capacity. Enough sleeping space for a family of six. Playground in front of house. Hosts nice and responsive. Cobbled roads and narrow homes do make Edam not ADA friendly like much of Europe.

Such a lovely place to say in a peaceful, friendly village with swimming canal ,all within easy to navigate public transport to central Amsterdam. We had a fantastic time, our host Lonneke was helpful and very friendly. The cottage was very clean and as described. I would recommend staying here.

It is a beautiful accommodation with a view directly of the lake. The accommodation is small but it offers everything you need and we felt very comfortable from the first moment. There is also a parking lot directly opposite and very good restaurants and shopping nearby. It was a dream to wake up every day with a view of the lake. If the weather is good, you can also go swimming there. Will definitely be back :)

We had wonderful days with Tineke and family as a family of three. Great area to spend an active holiday (preferably on the bike) or to find peace and relaxation in the house and sauna in bad weather.
