Monthly Rentals in Freycinet Peninsula

Matt and Jo’s place is just a walkable stone’s throw from the entrance to all the great Freycinet National Park hikes, an unbeatable location if you want to start your hikes early! While there isn’t a large grocery store nearby due to the remote setting, the pantry was thoughtfully stocked with oils, spices, teas, and other basic ingredients, which made cooking easy. The views of the mountains from the house are absolutely stunning, and the surrounding wildlife made the experience even more special. It’s a very family-friendly home, with plenty of board games available after a day of hiking. We were a family of five and really appreciated the extra bedroom they offered us on the first floor. A wonderful stay all around.

So many superlatives. Bek’s place is warm and inviting. A large scrubbed timber board awaited us. Laden with a lovely sourdough loaf, butter, homemade berry jams, a bowl of large fresh eggs and many varied condiments. Enough to last us for 4 days ! The views and particularly the sunrises from the living and bathrooms are stunning. We even had 4 pheasants visit us twice. Wrens hopped and fossicked throughout the garden through out the days. It truly is a delight to be immersed in this environment. Bek’s sense of style was evident throughout. THE most comfortable bed, French linens, intriguing art works, watercolours and painting materials are available, small jugs filled with local dried flowers, unusual objects , all with a history , scattered through out. A feast for the eyes and one’s spirits. So pleased we had this time there.

Staying in the Driftwood Cottage was lovely…..quiet, tucked away in the sand dunes and within an easy drive to Swansea. On arrival we let ourselves in and discovered a beautiful little beach house. Clean, neat and providing everything we needed. Driftwood is within an easy drive of Freycinet National Park …. Where we explored The Friendly Beaches, Honeymoon Bay and the Cape Turnville lighthouse walk. Not to mention a stroll along Nine Mile Beach (3 minute walk) We picked up local fresh seafood for dinner and watched the sunset from the front deck. We would thoroughly recommend staying at Fred’s!

We enjoyed our stay immensely. Well appointed home with lovely furnishings. Very comfortable. Loved the historical records we read and walking to the beach with the sheep ☺️ Little touches like the picnic basket for guest use were well received. We would love to stay again someday.
