Great location for our needs. Great place to stay, immaculately clean throughout, would definitely recommend.

Courtyard Cottage is a tastefully decorated and very well presented cottage. If I had to describe it in one word that word would be "charming" partly because of the courtyard garden lovingly tended by Robert & his wife. Visitors should be aware that it is small but I quickly realised that this would only have been a problem if I had been planning on staying several weeks - I only stayed 5 nights. The big plus with the cottage is to be located slap bang in the middle of one of the most attractive and historic market towns in the region at a cost lower than a hotel. Knaresborough is ideal for visiting Ripon, Leeds, York (including Castle Howard), Fountains Abbey - and I even managed the Yorkshire Sculpture Park in under an hour each way. Robert is helpful and attentive without being at all intrusive. 5 stars all round.

Had a wonderful stay at The Smithy for a couple of days. Place very well equipped and comfortable. Very comfortable bed. Perfect location and very peaceful. Lots of walks for the dogs in the countryside yet only short drive to Harrogate and Knaresborough. Plompton rocks on the door step. Lovely secret garden to sit in. Lots of lovely eating places nearby. Will definitely be staying again.

We had a great stay at James’s place, the location was perfect for exploring Harrogate and the surrounding area, bike storage was a real bonus too. Easy bus into Harrogate, good cycle routes from the door. Great accommodation, everything we needed. Would definitely recommend.
