Holiday rentals with lake access in Fire Island

Our host was proactive and stayed in contact from beginning to end. The home was as pictured, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The beds were COMFORTABLE! This was a great home and it satisfied all our needs. A special thanks to our hosts, they were a pleasure.

I have a lovely time at this charming home. It was exactly as pictured and advertised. The home is warm and inviting and I was very comfortable throughout my stay. The backyard has a beautiful view of a lake. I spent quite a bit of time on the rear deck reading and getting distracted by that view. Locally there is Greenport Village, Orient Point State Park and Inlet County Park to name a few of my favorite outings. Thank you to my host for being so responsive when I called with a minor issue one late evening. I hope to return for another stay one day in the future.

This was the second time staying at Angela’s place and it was a great experience, again! The location is great and the back yard is so peaceful and cozy. My family says it feels like it’s our Fairfield Home! I would highly recommend it! First Class!

Ever been on a historic home tour where part of the house is roped off & they say, "this is where the family used to live"? This felt like being allowed past the rope line and stepping into history. I can't imagine how much this costs to maintain & I'm happy to have helped with that. I can't imagine what it was like trying to update a home of this age to give it modern amenities, electricity, plumbing, and really cute bathrooms, but the host has done a great job. Taller than > 5'10", watch your head! Loved looking at the miniature fittings and furnishings and details of bygone days, the solid wood plank floors were particularly fascinating to me, tiny fireplace detailing, & some old rope and pulley windows with older glass are gorgeous. Very close to Le Chateau where we were attending a wedding. Extremely comfy beds & pillows. Great modernized bathrooms. Really unique spot.

Joanna’s place was magnificent. It was truly our home away from home for 3 weeks while we underwent IVF treatments. The peacefulness of the neighborhood and friendly neighbors (who we even exchanged numbers with to keep in touch because of how amazing they all were) stood out the most. The place was spacious, nice, organized, and decorated beautifully. Joanna helped us out when we needed to extend our stay and was amazingly kind and responsive. Her yard was also so beautiful that it won “yard of the month” while we were there. The lake is truly right out the front door and Joanna had life jackets and canoes set up in case we wanted to venture into the water. Walks at night time in the neighborhood were so peaceful and we utilized her fire pit multiple times to enjoy the night views of the sky. We will definitely be booking a trip back to lake waccabuc around when Joanna has availability because it does not get better than this house, this neighborhood, these neighbors, or this host.

Sarah’s place was absolutely lovely! Super clean and well stocked kitchen for making a meal. Sarah was also very responsive and had great local recommendations. Our group also found the beds to be quite comfortable! Highly recommend!

Beautiful property on the beach. Lots of seating outside. Easy to find with GPS. Friendly neighborhood. Would definately stay there again if our travels take us to the East end of the Island. Water was calm and peaceful. Would love to stay a week here next time. Plenty of parking for the guests 5 cars. We saved money eating Breakfast at the house each day and enjoyed quality family time. The king bedroom has a wonderful view of the Peconic Bay. Dual thermostats make climate control easy.

Upon arriving we were taken with the location, beautiful and ample plantings and attention to detail like a bottle of wine and a variety of snacks to welcome us. The hosts were gracious, warm, gave us privacy, and great tips on where to eat. Cowfish in Hampton Bays is not to be missed. A large and private hot tub, comfortable lounges, and outdoor shower are just some of the amenities. A fire pit with water views was a great spot to unwind at night. The hosts gave us kindling and a lighter, and were very responsive with other asks and recommendations. It’s a great location with ease of access for both the North and South Fork. Would not hesitate to recommend to others.

Great location, great communication and peaceful stay, exactly what we wanted to do. Lots of good restaurants in the area. Anderson is wonderful and very friendly & responsive.

My wife and daughter came in for a soccer tournament. Initially it was 4 of us and a dog but we changed it as one of my girls plans got cancelled. Aseem had no issue accommodating the change and refunded the difference. The place worked out great. Thank you.

Ana was a great host, firstly the apartment smelled AMAZING and it was nice and cool, she had toiletries laid out and the bed was comfortable. The ambiance of the apartment was very welcoming and homey. Will definitely be back, thank you for the hosting.

Ricardo’s place was truly incredible. It’s such a cozy, clean and convenient spot located in a very good area. Had everything you need and have a very home-like feel. I was visiting my girlfriend for our anniversary and the weather wasn’t the greatest outside but that didn’t bother us one bit. We were comfortable cooking and eating at home and we had everything to make that happen. Ricardo and his wife were so kind and flexible with us. We would love to come back in the summertime and fully enjoy their spot again because there are great views in the backyard by the water. Well worth the price of admission. I had an amazing stay at Susan and Mark’s. I cannot thank them enough for their hospitality and how well kept the apartment is. It is super cozy with everything you could ask for. Comfy bed, big TV, fast wifi, kitchenette, and spotless bathroom. I also loved the apartment’s close proximity to ISP and the LIRR. This apartment is a gem that I would not hesitate to stay at again!

My partner and I have vacationed in the Hamptons the last seven summers— almost always staying at a different place. But now having visited Richard’s lakeside cottage— I’m not sure we’ll ever be able to stay anywhere else! The cottage sits alongside one of the largest and most beautiful lakes in all of Long Island. We always made sure we were home each night to enjoy the beautiful sunset from our dock. The wildlife and landscaping that surrounds you while you’re staying here is truly breathtaking. We also came with our pup. It was a perfect spot for him to play, and for us to feel that he was safe. We were within 10 minutes of Main Street and Cooper’s beach! But still felt incredible removed and private. Such a great escape. And Richard was the perfect host! He has the perfect balance of being available but while giving us our space to relax and enjoy the vacation. Highly recommended!!

Adorable cottage across from a pretty lake. Private and quiet. Cottage was clean. Plenty of nice towels and hot water. View was beautiful. Bring your cotton sheets if you don't like microfiber, and bring your SS pans if you don't like non-stick cookware. Robert was very kind and responsive. Would stay here again!

What a lovely place!! My boyfriend and I had a great time sitting by the lake, going to the beach, and biking around in Southold. Larry was very helpful and informative. I would definitely recommend this cottage.

Deb’s place was very peaceful, comfortable, and well appointed. We immediately felt at home and enjoyed the interesting decor and personal style. It felt like staying in your own bed and breakfast. There were so many places to relax, and the front and back porches were so welcoming. The location can’t be beat if you want to check out the local wineries, farmstands, and great restaurants. An easy walk across the street to Peconic Bay, you can see from the upstairs bedroom. Kitchen was well appointed with everything you would need for cooking. Short ride to markets, farmstands, and Love Lane for shops and restaurants, about 20 minutes to Greenport.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this spot and Monika. This is our second stay- my husband, toddler, dog and I loved it last summer and came back. The back sliding doors open onto a porch where birds chirp and visit all day. The bright green lawn under towering trees is perfect for playtime or a family picnic. Little touches of thoughtfulness and charm are just everywhere. Monika’s hospitality is unparalleled- snacks and a handwritten note upon arrival, homemade treats throughout our stay, and nearly instant responses. Without being asked, she even sent us a hand-drawn walking route for a dog and baby and directions for getting there. Beaches, playgrounds, town centers, bagels etc are a short drive. The street is busy so wouldn’t go for a nearby walk necessarily but thats pretty standard throughout the Hamptons. For parents of young kids: FYI there isn’t laundry, but truthfully I just packed more- that’s how much we liked it. A laundromat is also nearby tho!

This tiny, cozy space was exactly what we needed for an overnight place to relax and sleep, with a kitchen for us to make our coffee in the morning. We also felt we would have been quite comfortable there if we had needed to stay for a few days. The host was kind, responsive, friendly, respectful, and genuine. We will definitely stay here again. And the view! Gorgeous.

Super special place. Very peaceful. Beautiful surroundings. If you love nature and a charming location, this is the place. The host was also extremely responsive and the cottage had everything I needed for a three month stay! Highly recommend!
