Skipperhuset

🏡 Skipperhuset is the oldest house on our family farm Birkenes located in Farsund municipality. The Skipper House was built in the 19th century and has been rehabilitated several times, most recently in the spring of 2021. In collaboration with a local painting company, we are working to make the house as authentic as possible, including wallpapering the living room, kitchen and hallway with skipper house wallpaper and linseed oil paint to preserve wood, etc. The Skipperhuset has a natural place on the farm and is located wall to wall with the brewery house which has a renovated baker's oven.

Here there are many charming islands that are suitable for boating. The area is perfect for fishing, swimming in the fjord, walks and relaxation. A gem by the sea!

Welcome to us! Funkieshus from 2024, with large windows, lots of sun and a lovely view over the sea. Living room, dining area and kitchen in one room, 1 bathroom with shower and washing machine, 2 bedrooms with 2 beds each. Towels and beds are included in the price and beds are made on arrival. Parking inside the garage and in front of the garage door. There is a large terrace facing west, and paving stones around the house again at the entrance. Part of the outdoor area is still under renovation.

Enjoy the cottage life in calm surroundings with chirping birds and morning sun. Here you will have easy access to the forrest and the sea, in one location. The cottage is easily accessed by car but also very private with a beautiful forrest surrounding it. Just 5 minutes away, there is a small marina. It is possible to rent a boat (3rd party) for your stay which you can dock at the marina. The boat needs to be ordered in advance. If you enjoy fishing, the fjord has lots of salmon and trout.

Hervoll is known for its cultural landscape, old millstones and as a starting point for nature walks. Tenants must thoroughly clean the house themselves before departure. In the immediate vicinity, there are several nice hiking opportunities. The owner is registered as a tourist fishing company. Lyngdal is 7 km away.
