I came to visit my son and enjoy the surrounding redwoods, but ended up having to stay indoors a lot more than planned, and I was very, very comfortable in Sara's place. The kitchen has all the appliances and utensils you need; I loved the firm mattress; and, being an avid reader, I loved the comfy chair in the bedroom and the bright lighting throughout. It's situated in a very quiet neighborhood, and a lovely Café is just a stone's throw down the hill. Sara's personalized Welcome sign made me feel right at home, and she was always very quick to respond when I reached out. I just really liked the place and enjoyed my stay very much!

what more could you dreams of when you wake up and there are dear grazing underneath your balcony, amazing experience ! well worth the minor detour we have taken.

Trinidad is such a gem! From Michelle's place, it's a short walk to some bluffs with an incredibe view, and a little further to beautiful Trinidad State Beach and Trinidad head. Michelle's place was just what we needed to relax and get cozy in between trips to nearby beaches, tide pools and redwoods. Michelle was very communicative and check-in and check-out was easy. Our stay at this magical Ferndale cottage was truly unforgettable. From the moment we booked, Caroline was incredibly communicative and thoughtful. Checking in before, during, and after our visit. The location couldn’t be better, just steps from Ferndale’s charming main street and a short drive to the breathtaking Avenue of the Giants. But honestly, we barely wanted to leave the cottage. It’s so cozy, beautifully appointed, and surrounded by a whimsical garden and a babbling creek. It felt like something out of a fairytale. The space is stocked with everything you might need, and Caroline went above and beyond by leaving us a few welcome treats. My partner, who’s British, lit up when he saw the “After Eight” mints.. a sweet, nostalgic touch. Every detail reflects true care and hospitality. We felt completely at home and can’t wait for the chance to return. Highly recommended!

It was a joy to stay here! My husband and two friends of ours stayed here for a wedding. There was plenty of space for all of us, the backyard is absolutely stunning and we felt right at home. The house is super close to town where there is some fun vintage shopping and restaurants. We ended up extending our stay by a day and the host made it incredibly easy and efficient. Highly recommend!

A very nice place. In a great location, attractive and cosy with a patio outside. Clean and well furnished with everything we needed; a comfortable bed and nice linens. A great grocery store and cafe are very near, and there’s easy access to central Arcata. Christy provides lots of information and is very responsive to communications. We really enjoyed our visit and would love to stay again.

Amy’s place is a perfect little get away in beautiful Arcata. Tucked away from downtown but still very accessible. The moment you enter you feel right at home with all the modern amenities and very comfortable bed. I will definitely be reserving this space in the future.

We absolutely loved our stay! The house is clean and cozy, the outdoor shower is also super enjoyable. We brought our e-scooters and it was a quick trip to downtown for the farmers market and dinner. Highly recommend this location!

We had an amazing stay. We rented the room in her house and the tiny home in the backyard because there were three of us. Irene and her partner were warm and welcoming while also giving us the rest and privacy we needed. All the spaces were clean and warm and quiet and accessible. We were so comfortable and at home! Added bonus, her dog Cider is so sweet.

This was a great overnight experience. I was in a bind and Marlen came through for me, bless her heart! Her cottage is adorable and inviting. It’s quiet, super clean, and I felt completely safe and welcomed from the moment I arrived. Parking is close to the front door and outside lights were on for my late arrival. Communication was smooth and kind throughout. It’s clear Marlen takes pride in maintaining a high-quality and welcoming space for guests! I slept great, felt totally at ease, and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, longer if time allows. Thank you, Marlen! Highly recommend!

Clean,quiet, private and absolutely beautiful! Christiana is a wonderful host and this place is truly a sanctuary! The setting is lovely and peaceful. Close to the beach and not very far from redwoods. Dander and scent free, great for allergy sufferers. Loved the surroundings and we'll be back if we're ever this way again.

Perfect place for my transition while I was relocating. It was such a peaceful and comfortable place to make my home while in the process of buying a house in the area. Sara and Peter were wonderful hosts. They made me feel like I really belonged here. Exceptionally quiet and serene home. I couldn't imagine a more inviting place to retreat to while I worked through the moving process.

First off, Kathy and Brian were very welcoming and friendly. You couldn't ask for better hosts. The neighborhood is really nice and quiet, an excellent place to work remotely, but just a minute away from town. The unit is very clean and comfortable with a surprising amount of storage space for a one bedroom. I would highly recommend and definitely stay again if in the area.

This was the perfect base for our wellness getaway to the redwoods! It is nestled within a beautiful neighborhood among the trees with easy access to Arcata’s downtown restaurants and shops. Diana is a thoughtful host and made us feel at home during our stay.

We truly enjoyed our time. The place was very clean, stocked, and quiet. We felt that we had privacy and comfort. It was nice to know that our host was only a text message away if we needed anything. We loved our stay in Blue Lake! Jason was an excellent host and made sure we had all the things we needed. Check in and check out was easy. The town of Blue Lake is so cute, its a short walk to the coffee shop and town bar. I would love to stay here again!

I stayed here with my dog during a long road trip. The space is very comfortable and peaceful. The surroundings are beautiful and the location is convenient to walk to the lovely main street of Ferndale. Alexa is a thoughtful, friendly hostess and was very pleasant to communicate with.

Beautiful location, spacious and comfy accommodations. Bed was big and the blankets were warm. Visits from the neighbors cats was the cherry on top.
