Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Étaules

Carmen is a great host, very responsive, helpful and friendly. Her place is fab, in a great location by the lagoon. As two families we enjoyed the privacy of the ensuite room with separate entrance. Having another ensuite and separate bathroom worked well for us. The main space with a little kitchen area at the back was well used too, opening out onto the terraces with ever changing views of the sea and amazing sunsets. The only issue, out of our host's control, was the bugs - mosquitoes weren't repelled by our repellent or deterred by long clothes, and the gnats and wasps were also persistent during the sunny weather. La Plage restaurant, two doors along, is welcoming for drinks and great seafood. There is an obstacle course and exercise route just along the prom for the kids as well as a baguette machine and another restaurant which rarely seemed to be open! Lidl, E Leclerc and Intermarche are within 10 mins drive. La Rochelle and Cognac within 1 hour. We would happily return.

We had a great stay in Lucie's cottage, in a very quiet residential village at this time of year. We were able to enjoy the very clean and well-maintained pool. Close to the Grande Côte for the beach and walks and where we found a bike rental. The cottage is very clean, tastefully decorated, we didn't miss anything. The bedding is also very clean and the towels are good quality. In short, we will have fond memories of this accommodation and we would not hesitate to come back.

There are homes that we like and forget, but at Janick's, it's different, we like, we love, we appreciate the home, and above all, we don't forget it. The hosting was very warm. The house is extraordinary; it is very well arranged for people with reduced mobility. We were superbly welcomed. Everything was perfect. Janick gave us very good addresses for visits and restaurants. We highly recommend this host. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to both of you.

We had a pleasant stay in a very nice and very quiet apartment. We did not have the opportunity to meet Sandra, however a bottle of wine and a packet of cakes were waiting for us on the table when we arrived. Saint Palais sur mer is a very pretty seaside town and the wild coast is beautiful.

We had a great stay in this pleasant, clean and very well maintained apartment. When we arrived, the accommodation was perfectly clean, well ventilated and it smelled very good. The place is easy to access, secure and easy to find. The location is ideal, with many activities nearby: beach, zoo, restaurants, etc. The host was very responsive and available, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Only small downside: the environment can sometimes be a little noisy depending on the time of day. I highly recommend this apartment for a comfortable and well-located stay!

This is the second time I have come to Valerie's accommodation and it is always a pleasure to stay there. I came to attend a horse riding competition at the Royan equestrian centre. The accommodation is very well located: 8 minutes from the competition. I think that being able to arrive independently is a big advantage, especially when you don't know what time you'll be arriving. The parking space is right at the entrance of the accommodation, which is very convenient. The sofa bed where we sleep is very good. I slept very well there. The kitchen and bathroom were great! It has everything you need to spend a few quiet days. I will come back without hesitation!:)

Great Host, large and bright apartment with a very nice decor and lots of facilities. View from the window of the pretty building of the Marché des Marennes with its Baltard-style architecture and the three restaurants less than a minute away. 10 min by bike to the beach (thanks for the bike:)). The large car park at Place Carnot is 100 m away. Special mention for the layout of the apartment (there must be about twenty light points and sockets and the kitchen is used with much more than the essentials). Thank you for everything, we'll be back with pleasure.

A very central and comfortable apartment on the first floor. The location at the market and close to good coffee shops and restaurants is perfect. The kitchen is well equipped, a nice shower and use of a plug in fan for hot evenings. The second bedroom is smaller but we didn’t use this. Baby facilities of a cot, changing table etc also very useful. Thank you Clotilde!

Absolutely perfect stay at Michel and Régine's, the location of the accommodation is ideal next to the market, shops and beautiful walks along the channel and oyster parks: everything can be done on foot. La Tremblade has retained the authentic character of the Charentes, and you can quickly access the magnificent beaches of the Côte Sauvage or the island of Oléron. The accommodation is very nice, quiet, with private parking and just the right amount of garden. It is particularly well equipped, there is absolutely nothing missing to feel at home. Michel and Régine are very attentive hosts, nothing was missing on our arrival for our breakfasts, and even much more! The arrival and departure procedures are extremely simple and leave an ideal latitude. I highly recommend this rental and keep it in my address book!

We were delighted with our stay. The apartment matches the photos point by point. The kitchen is small but very functional with all the utensils, nothing is missing.
