Stone Cottage in Grounds of a 16th-Century Castle

The cottage sits on the grounds of a castle dating back to 1543 offering an authentic stay. The interior retains a decor that matches the historic charm of the area with modern comforts added and a shared pool in the stunning gardens outside. This is our smallest cottage and cannot take an additional bed or cot. The other cottages are all larger and can do this. All 3 cottages can be rented separately or together. They are in the grounds of a 16th century castle with beautiful gardens and large swimming pool enclosed by stone walls. The lower salon and summer kitchen in the main chateau is available to share. Access is by the side garden gate and all cottages are accessed by stone steps- sadly not suitable for wheelchairs. We will most likely be present living in the main Chateau and available to help and advise about restaurants and things to do in the area. We will share the pool and gardens. The old village is in a beautiful part of France that is has retained its iconic beauty through the centuries and still feels untouched by modern life in many places. Experience true local dining and bakeries with scenic walking trails all around. parking is in the church square below the Chateau. There is a local taxi service in the village and bus service to Avignon, Banyols sur Ceze and Uzes but car hire is recommended. We are 20 minutes from Avignon TGV rail station and about an hour from Marseille, Nimes or Montpellier airports. The cottages are completely private and tranquil.

Village house in Rochefort-du-Gard

Rochefort-du-Gard, on the Castelas hill in the centre of the village. Renovated village house, with a 'vintner's flea market' vibe. The house is on three levels: On the ground floor, the entrance and the vaulted bathroom (sit-down showers only under the vault); On the first floor, there is the living room, which includes the kitchen and a sofa that can be converted into a double bed. On the 2nd floor, there is a bedroom with a queen-size bed. The perfect base to explore Avignon, Nîmes, Châteauneuf-du-Pape and more.

Small Modern and Industrial LOFT.

Small new 40 m² air-conditioned LOFT in an Industrial and Modern style for 2 people (but 1 child can sleep on the extra sofa). This loft is located on a wine estate in the heart of the vineyards. It is adjacent to the owners' country house but completely independent. The entrance is to the north of the country house. Access to the owners' swimming pool (from 01/07 to 15/09) and to the pétanque court every day from 10 am TO 6 pm. On the day of your arrival, the swimming pool is accessible until 7 pm.

Close to Pont du Gard (40 min walk, 3 min drive), on a hillside overlooking nature drawn by its rivers and vineyards, the Petit Gîte will seduce you with its sweetness of life and sunny climate 300 days a year. Guests can take advantage of the outdoor area with private swimming pool (counter-current swimming), beautiful terrace and private access to the pétanque court. A beautiful path will lead you to the cottage in total independence thanks to the individual automated gate.
