Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Dutchess County

This place was a breath of fresh air. I've noticed a trend on AirBNB of rentals that are obviously flipped investment properties with no character and no evidence of life: this place is the opposite! Charming, comfortable, with hosts who actually know the area and live in the area. This is a great family option when visiting the surrounding Hudson Valley towns. I hope I can get back here soon!

We had a truly lovely stay with our two young children. The location is truly stunning. Waking and being able to look out at the river was incredibly relaxing. The house was beautifully and thoughtfully designed. It felt modern, clean and free from clutter, but also very cozy and inviting. It was well stocked and Tim was very responsive and friendly. The location really is special. We enjoyed fishing from the bank and having fires in the cool Spring nights. We can’t wait to be back for another stay! We all got some much needed R&R! Thank you Tim!

Enrique's place was conveniently located near Rhinebeck, but alao far enough away that it was peaceful and quiet. Worth having a drink in the tavern at Beekman Arms and breakfast sandwiches at Rhinebeck Bagels. We especially enjoyed the hot tub. Enrique was a wonderful, informative host, and available if we needed (we didn't). Overall, we had a nice, relaxing weekend.

What a gorgeous stay. My partner and I celebrated our five year anniversary here and each detail was perfect. The home is wonderfully curated, with stunning art, decor, puzzles, plates, you name it! And by the window, the feeders attract all kinds of birds that I’ve never seen so up close. Woodpeckers, cardinals, chickadees. You hardly need the TV, it’s so entertaining. The place is spotless and serene. And Rosy is so responsive while giving you complete privacy! You can tell she really cares about the experience she provides. If you’re looking to stay in an artfully cozy home, this is the place.

Elizabeth was a life save for our mini vacation. Our other AirBnB fell through last minute, and we were so lucky to find this beautiful place within a few hours of our cancellation. The house is beautiful, with tall ceilings, spacious bedrooms and living room. I also appreciated the fully stocked kitchen since I like to cook. The hot tub was just what we needed: easy to use, quick to heat up, just perfect! Would highly recomment this place to anyone who is looking for a quiet getaway in the Hudson Valley area :)

The Red Country Cottage was perfect for our 2 night getaway for myself, my daughter, and her friends to celebrate birthdays. They loved the rail trail, nearby Mexican restaurant and ice cream, and enjoyed a fire in the fire pit. The cottage was lovely inside, set in a wooded lot with peaceful views out every window. Had everything we needed (as described) as well as thoughtful extra touches. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay!

Wonderful spot in Cold Spring! Very near the town center, trains, and lots of hiking trails in the area, but private and tucked away. Was a perfect spot for a group of 6. Highly recommend.

Carin's apartment was cozy and clean, a perfect place to rest after your adventures. It is very close to the train tracks and there were complimentary ear plugs on the bedside table, if you need them. The sound of the train did not bother us at all but we are very used to it. Carin was very responsive when we had questions. I highly recommend Carin's place for your stay in Kingston!

It's a lovely apartment that was very clean quite spacious and comfortable. Just a short minute or two drive to a few restaurants and to Daryl's house. We had a great time!

I was so impressed with Annmarie’s attention to detail and amenities. She thought of EVERYTHING to make the stay enjoyable and comfortable, and was so easy to communicate with! I will definitely come back if I am in the area. So grateful for her and my amazing weekend stay!

Mark&Whitney’s place was my best experience using Airbnb! They are amazing communicators and were very kind to accommodate all our needs and wants! This is hands down the best airBNB I have been to in a very long time. The friendliness was awesome and the amenities got better with every discovery. Long story short, it has everything you could ask for and more. I can’t recommend this location enough!

If you’re reading this to decide whether to book, do it - this was such a nice stay! Came up for a last min bday trip and feel lucky we got to stay here. Brian is an uncommonly good host and went above and beyond in so many ways - great communicator, flexible, gave us extra recs when stuff nearby was closed, provided a great local guidebook, and stocked the house so well (I like to cook and there was an actually well-stocked kitchen there). We didn’t find ourselves needing any essentials and the house had a lot of well-thought out comforts (insane hot tub, heated toilets, a ton of seating). On top of that the house is set up for fun at home - communal lounge area for a big group, pool table downstairs, board games, easy to use projector, silly wigs, big yard, a fridge that plays spotify (???) & we brought our pickleball set and played outside. These guys really know what they’re doing - thank you for a great stay and we will definitely be back when it warms up!

Had a wonderful stay, Deb and Mick are great hosts, so responsive, they have thought of everything you might need and more besides! We’ve stayed in many Airbnbs and this one is excellent. Looks exactly like the photos and the description is spot on. Very convenient for Rhinebeck. Added bonus of visits from Scooter and Weezy!

The house exceeded our expectations. Great design in a beautiful setting. Having the bedrooms on a separate floor also made it very easy for people to be on slightly different schedules. I was there with a couple of friends for a retreat at Troutbeck, which was an easy drive. All-around great place to stay.

Our stay at this cabin was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how clean, modern, and well-equipped it was. The hot tub was the perfect addition, providing a relaxing and private retreat. Steven was the most gracious and thoughtful host we could have asked for. He truly went above and beyond to make our Valentine’s Day weekend special, greeting us with chocolate-covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne. His personal touch made the experience unforgettable. We can’t wait to return, and we’re already looking forward to experiencing it in the summer!

the ourtdoor shower was the most healing

About as perfect an AirBnB stay as you can ask for. The hosts instructions and guides are thorough and convenient. The house itself is beautiful and well decorated, not to mention just very comfortable and welcoming. Plus, a view of the lake that we weren't expecting! Plenty to explore in the area as well. Ariella and Adam were quick to respond and very friendly. Thanks for an amazing stay.

Highly recommend a stay at this beautiful cabin. It was pristinely clean and smelled amazing, like new wood. The decor is very tasteful with a cozy ambiance. The kitchen is equipped for cooking and the wood burning fireplace keeps the whole space toasty. You can hear the nearby brook with the windows open. The soaking tub is incredible. We truly enjoyed our stay! It’s an easy drive of 1 hr from NYC, and 10 min to the nearest town for restaurants, groceries etc.
