The "il Cottage" accommodation is a lovely two bedroom apartment that is right next to the fortress (which makes it even more evocative). Francesca and Aliek welcomed us with kindness and professionalism, making us feel like we are in our home. Their whole family was very nice and helpful, including dogs, cats, and donkeys who were an unexpected and very enjoyable company for us. The fortress is located in a very quiet area but at the same time close to the main tourist attractions of Umbria easily reachable by car, at most in a couple of hours. Absolutely recommended for both couples and families, or simply for people who love tranquility and beauty .

Elisabetta is probably the kindest, most genuine Airbnb host who I have met. She was incredibly helpful offering contacts of local activities, cooking a delicious local cuisine meal and even offering a chauffeuring experience as I am a none driver to help me get around and see the local area. A really wonderful family with sweet pets and in such a beautiful location. And the fireflies in the garden made the entire experience feel magical.

Beautiful private apartment with great outdoor space. Pictures are very accurate. Spectacular views! Hosts were helpful and responsive. It’s a great location centrally located in Umbria. Very nice small town with several excellent local restaurants. Less than 2 hours from Rome.
