Whether staying for a romantic couple's retreat, or to fish straight from your lodge, guests will enjoy sinking into the warmth of the hot tub and gazing up at the stars, benefiting from being in a Dark Sky area. Watch the flames dance in the fire pit as you toast marshmallows, or sit, glass in hand, sausages sizzling on the barbecue as you look out over the lake and its abundance of wildlife.

It is centred in the beautiful, ancient village of Winkleigh which is the heart of Devon, equidistant from both coasts and moors and allows guests to explore this fantastic area. The cottage is situated in a quiet area with around 45 minute drive to the sea and some beautiful North Devon beaches. A quiet simple countryside retreat. NB: No takeaways available

The Barn, West Ford Farm

The Barn is part of an historic farmstead. It was built from cob and stone in the 18th century and sits in a peaceful valley, a lovely place to get away from it all and enjoy the glorious Devon country side. It is on the edge of Dartmoor and next to the Two Moors Way. The pretty village of Drewsteignton is a couple of miles away with it's pub The Drewe Arms. The National Trust's Castle Drogo is half a mile beyond that. The Drogo Estate has beautiful walks along the River Teign
