Holiday rentals with a patio in Douglas County

We have stayed many places in Lawrence over the years - and this is by far our favorite! Our hosts were warm and welcoming, the property is cozy and comfortable with no details missed, the yard is park-like and beautiful, and the neighborhood is peaceful, yet walkable to the KU area and Mass Street. Our only regret is that we didn't find it sooner since our son graduates in a few weeks. Whenever we return to Lawrence - we will look to book here again first. Thank you Curt and Shelley for a lovely stay!!

There are really good hosts and there are great hosts. Megan is off the charts. She’s very kind, caring, and has a beautiful and squeaky clean place. We would definitely return. We loved our stay and wished we had a bit more time in Topeka. It’s a great place to visit and catch some beautifully historic sites, among other things. Thank you, Megan!

We came to Lawrence to visit our daughter. This place was perfect for lounging in the evenings- family game night, movies, time to catch up. The couch is a pull out, so plenty of space. Darling Farmer’s Market in the parking lot Sat. mornings. Great location! We plan on booking again!

Booking was incredibly easy and the host was very responsive from start to finish. The property is located just outside of town in the peaceful countryside, offering a relaxing overnight stay with the convenience of a quick return to town when needed. The area is spacious and well-kept, with a nice circle drive that made parking easy. We were traveling with our dogs, and they had plenty of room to roam. The nearby walking trail was perfect for a little outdoor time, and the presence of horses on the property added a charming, serene touch. One of the highlights of our stay was watching the gorgeous sunset—it was absolutely stunning and the perfect way to end the day. Highly recommend, a perfect stop to rest and recharge. We’d definitely stay again!

This place is in the heart of Lawrence. It’s a perfect location to walk to all the hot spots of college attractions. The apartment was clean and felt newer. Many small amenities like coffee bar and snacks. Well worth the amount paid.

This Airbnb worked out perfectly for our family while we were visiting our son at KU. Plenty of space, great location, and beautifully decorated. Great communication! Definitely recommend.

This was our second time renting this home. It’s a true gem - fully updated, clean and spacious. Perfect for gathering with the other moms who traveled into town to celebrate our KU students for mom’s weekend. The hosts are great communicators and flexible to our needs.

We were visiting our son who attends KU and was running in a track meet. This was one of the best homes we have rented. The house is very cute and well furnished. The owners have thought of everything. WiFi was fast, well stocked home, beds were comfortable and the place was spotless. Communication with the hosts was great. It is secluded and peaceful but also convenient to Rock Chalk Park. Grocery and restaurants easy to get to as well as downtown Lawrence. This will be our “go to” when visiting Lawrence.

Second time staying. Both times the host had been super accommodating with early and late checkins. The place is very cute and well maintained. The snacks and drinks are a nice touch. Walking to anything on Mass St. My first choice whenever I come to see my son!

Linda’s place was amazing! The photos were beautiful and the place was even better in person. We were in town visiting our son who attends KU. The location was perfect! We had four adults and three teenagers. Everyone slept great and had plenty of room. The details in this house were incredible! We had everything we needed and more! I wish we could have stayed longer. We’ve stayed at quite a few Airbnbs and this one is definitely one of our favorites. We will be back!! Thank you again Linda!!

Casey's spot in Lawrence was perfect - clean, comfortable and close to the downtown area. It was perfect for us two couples to stay and we each had our private space.

Kim has a nice house to rent. She was very responsive to help with a problem during our stay, even bringing by some treats. She was flexible with check in and out times. The only thing I would mention is to be sure renters are aware that the stairs going to the master are old and have a sharp turn at the top section. Thanks Kim

Wanna's place was the perfect spot to stay for me in Lawrence, the beds were especially comfortable and we enjoyed the backyard as a nice level up from all of the loft options downtown. I would certainly stay here again.

We loved are stay here. Very quiet, new, clean and an air conditioner that worked well. It was so fun to walk to shops, restaurants and entertainment. Parking was 10 cents per hour….cheap! We will stay here again!

This is one of the best AirBnBs that I've stayed in. I wish I could've stayed longer! The apartment was super comfortable & quiet. I could tell that every piece of furniture & decor was carefully selected for the aesthetics of the place & for a 1 bed/1bath it seems incredibly spacious. All the amenities were as described. TVs were easy to use with all the streaming services anyone could need. Wifi was fast and reliable. Neighborhood was quiet & felt secure. I'm a night shift worker, so I greatly appreciated the black out shades in the bedroom; some gets through along the sides, but it was still dark enough to allow me to sleep during the day. Kitchen was well appointed with high quality brand name items for cooking, coffee, etc. Towels and linens were spotless with plenty of both provided. If I find myself in Topeka again in the future for an extended stay, I'll definitely be checking to see if the Prairie Condo is available before looking anywhere else.

This house is simply fantastic! If I could give more than 5 stars, I definitely would. The comfort and luxury inside make you fall in love with it from the moment you arrive. The balcony is amazing, offering both great comfort and beautiful views. We traveled to Kansas to visit our son who is studying there, and I feel we were incredibly lucky to find and book this home. The location couldn’t be better — everything you need is just a short walk away. The house is full of luxurious touches and little surprises that make it stand out. I especially loved that on Saturday morning, local producers gathered in the parking area to sell their products — a lovely detail that really gave us a taste of the local culture. Finally, the host, Omar, is one of the kindest and most discreet people I’ve ever met. Don’t think twice — just book it!

Absolutely great space. Very clean and has everything you could want. Perfect location as well. Ashley was also incredibly helpful with checkin in and answering any questions. We will book again.

Beautiful space. Clean and soft linens. This space is next to an active night life scene and was a little noisy. We expected this at the time of booking and we were prepared with a small sleep sound machine. Awesome place, will book again in the future.

Third time we have stayed here and have had another great experience! We have small children and the place was perfect with very little for us to move to baby proof. Location is everything! So close to great food and highways for easy access to where we were heading! Host is quick to respond and makes the whole process seamless!
