Great place and stay.

This apartment was a great space that was exactly as described. Clean and new, easy to access and close to the KU campus. Would definitely stay here again!

Our son had a track meet at KU and Fernando’s place was SUPER convenient! It was better than we imagined! The communication is immediate and professional. Super clean, HUGE, and had more than we thought! Shampoo and conditioner in the shower!!! Laundry detergent!!! Seasonings in the kitchen!!! Condiments in the fridge! We felt so at home, we just cooked and never left the loft once we got back! Lol! The video directions were amazing and there was way more space than we anticipated! My husband is 6ft 7 so we definitely loved the space! If we can, we will stay there EVERY visit!

We had a great weekend stay, perfect for 2 people. Bed and pillows were really comfortable and everything was clean. We also ate at the taco place right next door which was amazing! The main bedroom faces a busy street, but earplugs helped with this if you are a light sleeper.

John’s place was in a great location with lots of bars, restaurants, and shopping within walking distance. The place was very clean and just as described. John was clear with instructions on how to access the unit and continuously offered to help should I need anything during my stay. Although the unit is located near some noisy bars, we couldn’t hear anything overnight. I would definitely stay here again!

I lived in a few basement apartments when I went to school at KU, but none of them could hold a candle to this place! It was quirky, quiet, clean and comfortable.

We have stayed many places in Lawrence over the years - and this is by far our favorite! Our hosts were warm and welcoming, the property is cozy and comfortable with no details missed, the yard is park-like and beautiful, and the neighborhood is peaceful, yet walkable to the KU area and Mass Street. Our only regret is that we didn't find it sooner since our son graduates in a few weeks. Whenever we return to Lawrence - we will look to book here again first. Thank you Curt and Shelley for a lovely stay!!

The apartment was clean, comfortable, and perfect for our needs. We were in town for several campus events and needed a place to sleep and recharge—this was exactly that. Great location and price. Would definitely stay again!

There’s no place like it. Sitting on the balcony in the mornings and evenings watching the river and sometimes an eagle is so relaxing. And then the ability to walk downstairs for a burrito (on the weekends) or an ice tea or coffee with cinnamon roll is priceless. Thank you for hosting!

Booking was incredibly easy and the host was very responsive from start to finish. The property is located just outside of town in the peaceful countryside, offering a relaxing overnight stay with the convenience of a quick return to town when needed. The area is spacious and well-kept, with a nice circle drive that made parking easy. We were traveling with our dogs, and they had plenty of room to roam. The nearby walking trail was perfect for a little outdoor time, and the presence of horses on the property added a charming, serene touch. One of the highlights of our stay was watching the gorgeous sunset—it was absolutely stunning and the perfect way to end the day. Highly recommend, a perfect stop to rest and recharge. We’d definitely stay again!

I had a great stay at this condo in Lawrence! The location is fantastic—close to plenty of restaurants and shops, and just a short drive to most of the local attractions. The condo itself was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The host was excellent, checking in regularly and making sure everything went smoothly. If I’m ever in Lawrence again, I will definitely book this place again. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

We loved staying here! It’s absolutely beautiful! We’re from LA and come down here yearly to visit friends and this location + amenities were great for us! Close to some great places to eat as well like sushi uni and Pegah’s. Unfortunately the pool area was closed this time of year but we look forward to future visits and being able to relax by the pool. The host left clear instructions and was very hospitable. We will definitely be back!

Great location for KU visit while having all the perks of Mass St. shops/restaurants/shopping steps away. Fun garage door open concept was perfect on a spring day and the Saturday farmers market right outside was a pleasant bonus. Once we mastered the parking app, things simplified- but it was a bit confusing at first as the app was having some technical issues with location. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and host was quickly responsive with some TV issues we had. We would definitely stay at The Happy Hawk again.

This place is in the heart of Lawrence. It’s a perfect location to walk to all the hot spots of college attractions. The apartment was clean and felt newer. Many small amenities like coffee bar and snacks. Well worth the amount paid.

We came to Lawrence to visit our daughter. This place was perfect for lounging in the evenings- family game night, movies, time to catch up. The couch is a pull out, so plenty of space. Darling Farmer’s Market in the parking lot Sat. mornings. Great location! We plan on booking again!
