Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Douglas County

We stayed as an extended family for a funeral. It happened to be a busy weekend in Lawrence and wound up being the perfect place.

We had a great stay in Lawrence for Mom’s weekend! The location was great!

Fabulous, quiet, private home on the golf course was perfect for 6 of us who were in town for Mom’s Weekend! We had so much fun at this immaculate, tastefully, remodeled and relaxing home! There are two, spacious king bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms (amazing showers), a queen bedroom and two powder rooms. The super comfortable beds sleep 6 guests, and two comfortable couches for possibly three more guests! We also appreciated the amenities which exceeded most places we’ve stayed! The host, Kyle, was super responsive and kind (only contacts before checkin and then checkout). Thank you, Kyle! We hope to stay again on future visits to Lawrence!

We chose this house because it was close to our wedding venue. The house is beautiful, clean, and exactly as expected. Dani is a great host.

Nice little house. Remodeled old home was a nice stay for our little family. Great being able to put the kids down and not have to share the space. If available when travel out here next year we would stay again.

This is our third year straight to stay at their home. We love the large living room where we can all gather for late night chats, and morning coffee. There’s plenty of room and bathrooms for getting ready. The best part is the location and the genuine care and great communication from the owners.

Wow!! This Airbnb was one of the best we have stayed at! Fully stocked with snacks, coffee, bottled water, toothbrush/toothpaste, mouth wash, makeup remover, laundry detergent, shampoo/conditioner, body wash and more!! We all slept great, extremely quiet. There’s a movie theater room we didn’t have time to enjoy but hope to get the chance to when we stay again. Extremely clean which is a huge priority for us. Love this house!

This was the perfect little getaway for the night for my daughter and I. It was so cozy and quiet and we had a blast playing all the available games. We both felt asleep watching movies on the giant couch it was so comfortable. Our hosts were very responsive and greeted us when we arrived and assured to reach out if we needed anything. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back!

There are really good hosts and there are great hosts. Megan is off the charts. She’s very kind, caring, and has a beautiful and squeaky clean place. We would definitely return. We loved our stay and wished we had a bit more time in Topeka. It’s a great place to visit and catch some beautifully historic sites, among other things. Thank you, Megan!

Booking was incredibly easy and the host was very responsive from start to finish. The property is located just outside of town in the peaceful countryside, offering a relaxing overnight stay with the convenience of a quick return to town when needed. The area is spacious and well-kept, with a nice circle drive that made parking easy. We were traveling with our dogs, and they had plenty of room to roam. The nearby walking trail was perfect for a little outdoor time, and the presence of horses on the property added a charming, serene touch. One of the highlights of our stay was watching the gorgeous sunset—it was absolutely stunning and the perfect way to end the day. Highly recommend, a perfect stop to rest and recharge. We’d definitely stay again!

Cindy was so great! We had a question about trash and instantly got a call from them to help us out! They are very helpful and sweet. The place was exactly what we needed since we have a baby and we’re visiting family!

This Grantville gem is a great get away. We would have loved to take advantage of the remote trails, screened in porch and quiet surroundings, but for us it was the perfect spot to group and re-group for our son's wedding in Topeka, just a short drive west. I would recommend this to anyone going near there, Mallory's communication is spot on. Thank you all for sharing your home.

It was a nice location for a weekend getaway for two. Had good amenities and was very quiet and peaceful. Very close to local restaurants, stores, parks, and churches for Sunday service.

We had a really nice stay in the cabin and the hosts had everything ready and were friendly though the entire process. The cabin is in a great spot on the edge of town - it was very relaxing but close enough to drive to a store or restaurant. We came to bike the Flint Hills trail and explore the area. Thanks for getting us started on a fun weekend!

We had a wonderful family getaway with 8 of us!!! Much needed lake time, beautiful home with an amazing hot tub and fire pit! Host was great and we will definitely be back!!! 10/10 recommend 🌟

What a wonderful little gem. This spot was very secluded and felt extremely peaceful. It’s a short 15 minute drive into town if you need anything.
