We had a brief but lovely stay! It was clean and exactly as described and the location in the dunes and 5 min walk to the beach we found best! 😊

The location directly on the bay is very nice. The accommodation and the associated outdoor area are very cozy, so you can feel really comfortable there. Unfortunately, the sea was almost unseen during our summer vacation. For bathing, shopping and dining, you depend on the car.

Chantal's house is lovingly and tastefully furnished. It has everything you need to feel comfortable and switch off, everything is thought out with attention to detail (e.g. matches can always be found near the candle) - both in the house and in the garden. The location is perfect as a starting point for hiking in the beautiful dune landscape or for a bike ride e.g. to one of the beaches or the beautiful towns. Thank you - also for the nicely prepared welcome!

We had a very nice stay! The accommodation is stylishly furnished, especially the brand new and high quality kitchen delighted us. Even beach toys for the children were available. The beach is in about 15 minutes walking distance, which was perfect for relaxing days by the sea. The location is also great – both Amsterdam and Alkmaar are easily accessible. We felt completely comfortable and would be happy to come back!

We had the most wonderful stay in this charming cabin nestled on the property of a windmill in Alkmaar. From the moment we arrived, our hosts Kelly and Han made us feel completely at home. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect—so kind, welcoming, and full of great local tips. The cabin itself is a dream—coziness taken to the next level. Every detail was thoughtfully put together, and it was the perfect place to unwind to relax. Waking up next to a windmill felt like something out of a fairytale. Alkmaar itself is a beautiful village full of history, with adorable shops and restaurants to explore. The charming canals add to the magical atmosphere, and it’s easy to hop on a train to Amsterdam for a day trip. We’re already dreaming of our return and feel so lucky to have made such lovely new friends in Kelly and Han. Highly recommend this magical spot to anyone visiting The Netherlands!

Friendly welcome, cozy cottage, clean, furnished with all sorts of comforts. The wifi is somewhat shaky, which made watching a movie on Netflix a challenge. We didn't think this was important enough to talk about it, so it might have been fixed. Got nice tips, we enjoyed the area. Within walking distance, a spar and bike rental and terraces/cafes. Dog was allowed to walk freely provided the other guests did not suffer. The garden is almost completely fenced but roadside lights can get away. Everything was neat and tidy!

I booked this wonderful apartment just two days before my arrival and was absolutely thrilled! The hostess was very friendly from the beginning, helpful and responded incredibly quickly to all my messages. The apartment was perfect, clean and cozy – exactly as described.
