Stylish waterside apartment

Situated in a waterside location in the heart of historic East Cowes, the apartment offers stunning river views and is ideally placed for all the amenities offered by this maritime town, whilst Cowes is within easy reach. The apartment offers stylish accommodation with two double bedrooms (one en-suite), bathroom, open plan kitchen and dining area (ideal for entertaining with the table comfortably seating up to ten) and spacious triple aspect sitting room designed to make the most of the incredible views. The accommodation is best suited to adults, and please be aware that access is via a flight of stairs from a private entrance hallway, with space for bike storage and other equipment. East Cowes is one of the gateways to the Island, and as such the Red Funnel car ferry terminal is under a minute’s drive away. There are several local shops and restaurants (we particularly like Prego - excellent Italian food and they do takeaway) all within a 100 metre radius of the apartment, and Waitrose is around a two minute walk, so no need to worry about bringing lots of supplies with you. If you’re keen to do some sailing/boating during your holiday, you’ll find East Cowes Marina within a five minute drive/fifteen minute walk. This 380 berth marina offers modern facilities and parking, and there’s also The Lifeboat pub immediately adjacent, offering good local food and refreshments. Osborne House, Queen Victoria’s summer retreat, is within a five minute drive/twenty minute walk, and is well worth a visit at any time of the year. The beautiful grounds and private beach can be enjoyed on a fine day, and as the Island is one of the sunniest places in Britain we have a lot of those! The apartment is situated just a few steps from the chain ferry, linking East Cowes with Cowes, the renowned home of international sailing. The three minute crossing followed by a short (ten minute) walk takes you into the heart of Cowes, with its wide range of boutique shops, restaurants and bars. Cowes Yacht Haven is therefore easily accessible, making the apartment a superb option for a Cowes Week visit. If you’re keen to get out and about and explore more of what the beautiful Island has to offer, why not take advantage of the many bus routes which depart from East Cowes (right outside Waitrose) and venture further afield. Carisbrooke Castle is a short journey, along with the county town of Newport with its range of high street shops, cinema and harbour. The Isle of Wight Festival is easily accessible from East Cowes, with buses almost taking you door to door, and don't forget about other events such as the Beer & Bus Festival and classic car shows
