We had a wonderful week at the Hideout. The accommodation was so comfortable and cosy and the setting so lovely. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the bed so comfy and the shower lovely and hot. We had an issue with one of the blinds (probably my fault!) and this was resolved almost immediately. Jo and Charles were very friendly and helpful, and gave great advice for what to do on one of our rainier days! The scenery around in the Ashdown Forest is beautiful, with endless possibilities for walking with our 2 dogs. There are so many other nice places nearby to visit - Battle, Lewes, Hever Castle, Sheffield Park and many more. We would thoroughly recommend the Hideout for a couple as perfect for exploring the local area.

Benny was really great with communication as I booked very last minute! She also kindly let me check in much earlier and I also checked out a little later due to my own fault of not realising checkout was at 10am! The place is spotless and is well equipped, there were breakfast items left which was thoughtful and generous of Benny. The location is beautiful and peaceful - lots of cute lambs and ponies and even deer! A short drive takes you into forest row where you have a good selection of shops

We stayed for one night as we were visiting the area for the weekend. The Airbnb was super easy to locate, Jan and Barrie were very responsive to messages and phone calls, and were super flexible with check-in and check-out, which was a nice bonus. The room was clean, modern and felt like home. Inside the room was a very helpful bookpack, not just because it provided the wifi password, but because there were plenty of recommendations for restuarants, walks, activities etc for the surrounding area. Clearly a lot of thought and care has gone into hosting the airbnb and I could not recommend it enough. If we're ever back in the area again, I know we'll be booking a night or two with Jan and Barrie.
