Chalet holiday rentals in Branscombe

I stayed at Shepherd Oak from February to March during my 6 week placement as a student at the hospital in Dorchester and loved having such a lovely, quiet place to retreat to in the evenings after busy weekdays. The cottage and its surroundings were very clean and tidy and its location is beautiful and very peaceful. The town of Upwey in general is also lovely and I spent my weekends discovering the walks around the area and frequenting the most gorgeous tearoom I've ever been in (the Wishing Well tearoom just down the road!) so for me the cottage couldn't have been in a more perfect location! The host and co-host, Helen and Gemma, were very friendly and communicative throughout my stay and overall I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Shepherd Oak and would wholly recommend to anyone. Thanks Helen and Gemma for a wonderful stay!

We had a superb 4 night stay at The Victorian Barns, staying in the lovely Lodge. The property was set in beautiful private grounds with its own larger indoor heated swimming pool, huge activity barn (complete with table tennis and badminton court) and plenty of land and lakes to walk our two Springer Spaniels around! Our host Claire gave us lots of information before our stay and also answered any questions that we had during our time there. Their on site EV charger was a god send allowed us to to-up our car at the end of the day after trips out. All in all we loved our stay and we hope to visit again soon!

What a beautiful place, so peaceful and the lodge was so cute. Ian met us on arrival and showed us around and told us all the info we needed, he also gave us freshly baked scones which was such a lovely touch. Just outside the lodge there was so much space for our daughter's to play and ride around on some bikes borrowed from the farm. The location was ideal and not too far from a town or a day on the beach. We will definitely be returning as we've had the most lovely holiday and actually feel we relaxed being in such a quiet, picturesque spot.

My partner and I loved it THAT much, we are STILL there! We requested to extend our stay and despite having to move some bookings around, Alan and Lynne managed to make it possible for us! I had 3 nights of blissful sleep thanks to their fabulous pillows and now I get 3 more! 😁

Kirsty and Gary’s caravan was lovely. Very cosy and clean, loved the patio! The duvet covers were super soft and comfy as well. The park is not even a 5 minute walk from Bowleaze Cove, and you can get into town in about 30 minutes walking, or 15 minutes by car. Guest passes are included so you can use the on site club which is lovely. The hosts were very professional and friendly, and responded quickly whenever necessary! Definite recommend and will stay again if we have the opportunity!

This lodge was just perfect for a relaxing week away, which was just what we needed. It was immaculately clean, well set out and well equipped. We loved the fact that our children and dog could explore and play freely and safely, and the lodge was well fenced and very dog friendly. We would definitely recommend, and would love to visit again ourselves.

We have stayed at the shack several times and have always loved it. It is always so clean and comfortable and the chalet park is quiet, convenient for lots of locations and shopping. Veronica is always helpful and responsive to messages. We thoroughly recommend it. Thank you Veronica.

We enjoyed a lovely week at the caravan, which was just as described and very comfortable for 2 adults and 2 children. Lots to do on the park for kids - we mostly enjoyed the marquee bar and entertainment at the top of the hill and the indoor pool, but it was great as a base for exploring the local area. There is some road noise as other reviews have mentioned, but otherwise the caravan is tucked away in a quiet spot with only a few mins walk to the main activities.

We had such a lovely stay at Kate’s place. It was just what we needed…. Relaxing, peaceful with beautiful surroundings and views. The Chalet has been nicely decorated and has everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. There are activities onsite and lots to do locally. We especially loved our visits to Portland Bill. We’d definitely come back another time. Thanks for a wonderful stay. :-)

We stayed for 3 nights. The holiday house was spacious enough to fit family of 4. Plenty of room to play for little ones. Very clean and well organised. The only improvement I could suggest would be to install slim dishwasher but it was perfect anyway. I would recommend and come back.

We had a wonderful stay. The area is lovely and it was very peaceful - just the calming sound of the waves nearby. With 3 beautiful beaches, each with their own character, within a few minutes' walk, it was so easy to explore without necessarily travelling much. We really enjoyed staying in the chalet - it had everything we needed and our holiday was a joy.

Our first time using Airbnb and Maggie made it very easy. Lovely little chalet with beautiful views. Maggie was responsive to messages and all her instructions were very clear. We had a great week and my young children loved it. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Booked Driftwood for a 3 night stay to celebrate special birthday. It did not disappoint, we absolutely loved it wished we could have stayed longer. The view is beautiful and ever changing, so much interest. Lovely walks on the doorstep. Stunning trio of beaches. We had our elderly dog with us so swam twice a day on the main Bovisands beach which was was a lovely gentle 5 mins walk away. I should add that sea glass hunting on the beach immediately in front of the chalet was amazing! The chalet was warm, clean, really well equipped, lovely little kitchen, great shower, comfy bed and delightful lounge diner. Highly likely that we will be back. Thank you.

Chalet is clean, welcoming and in a great place with wonderful views. Chalet is well equipped for catering and comfortable for relaxing. This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Nick’s chalet and we look forward to visiting again next year

location to die for. right on the beach, stunning views and a really unique stay. everything you need is provided, place is really clean and sitting out on the terrace with a glass or two of wine watching the boats go by and the tide come in is truly wonderful.

Would absolutely recommend this accommodation to anybody. Lovely caravan with all the amenities you need. Paul was very proactive with any questions I asked. Definitely the best we have stopped in.
