Holiday rentals with lake access in Bournemouth

We had such a fantastic stay. The location is amazing, and we were fortunate to see so much wildlife. The barn is absolutely beautiful, really cozy and Bobbie very thoughtfully provided everything you could possibly need for your stay. It really was a home away from home. We have an electric car so it was fantastic to have a charging facility on site, this made everything so much easier for us. Bobbie was extremely welcoming, a truly lovely lady who couldn’t do enough to help us. We will definitely be returning, we won’t even look anywhere else. Truly fabulous!

Definitely would revisit. Great location, especially for my parents who are limited in how far they can walk before needing a breather. Place was cosy for 6 of us, but never too much under each other's feet. Evenings, all warm and cosy especially with the fire.

We had such a lovey long weekend at the farm house. The hosts were quick to respond to messages and check in was easy. The house is just like the photos, however they don’t do the garden justice! The house was equipped with all that we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The garden is beautiful and the pool was amazing - heated to a comfortable 29• and in beautiful surroundings. My only suggestion would be a sign stating how deep the water is, however that did not distract from our enjoyment at all! We loved the table tennis table and brought our own garden games to play outside. We’d thoroughly recommend the house to families wanting an escape to the countryside.

The house was perfect for a chilled get away with friends-we sat in the garden until 8pm as it was so lovely out there. 25 min walk to the beach & a short drive from seeing the fantastic horses roaming free. Well worth the money and felt very homely

We went out of season so it was lovely and quiet. A great base to set off from exploring different places including the New Forest, Lymington and further afield. The lodge was very clean and tidy with everything one would need for a comfortable stay. A home from home vibe. Only one downside was the 'Beachcomber' restaurant on the site. the food was awful but there is plenty of places to go out to eat off the site that were lovely.

Lovely warm welcome to me and my friends .The location is super , right get next to the water with a slipway to launch canoes and paddle boards , yet a 5minute walk into town . Enjoyed the hot tub in the evening. The Chalet was very spacious and well appointed . Great for few days away with friends , we would book again .

We stayed at Mel's place for two nights for a family funeral. From the very start, she was kind, flexible and very sensitive to our situation. The house itself is beautifully decorated, and one of the best equipped Airbnbs I have ever rented. Mel has thought of everything! Parking on the drive is OK for one car and Mel sorted us a permit for another. We loved the outdoor space for our wine and fish and chips. You are really close to a supermarket, nice pubs and walks along the harbour. We were won over by Poole, and Mel's place and would love to return. Thanks for your kindness and warm hospitality.

We had a wonderful stay at The Lakeview Bungalow, it was the perfect place for a relaxing get away and we didn’t want to leave! The location was so lovely and watching the sunrise over the lake was beautiful! The bungalow was clean and had everything we needed, the hosts were responsive and allowed an early check in which was really appreciated! We hope to visit again one day!

We had a fantastic stay with Jay and Jo! The lodge was absolutely beautiful, was spotlessly clean and had everything we could have needed. The breakfast basket and fresh eggs were a lovely welcome and Jay and Jo couldn’t have been friendlier. We would absolutely recommend the lakeside lodge and cannot wait to return!

The caravan’a main living area felt much more spacious than we imagined and there was quite a good sea view. It was right by the amenities yet still quiet. Parking was a little tricky but we have a big car and you can always use the main car park which always had spaces and felt very safe. Lovely resort with friendly, helpful and professional staff.

What an incredible stay for a special occasion. The place is more beautiful than the pictures, especially the views, it is truly a special place. We enjoyed having our coffee and breakfast in the garden and watching the tide go in and out. Erika & John were perfect hosts and made us feel very comfortable, going the extra mile. We can't wait to return!

Beautiful stay at a calming room at a fun intellectual lady’s with great attitude

Peaceful compact apartment in a beautiful setting. The space has everything you’d need for a short stay and a lovely external patio for enjoying the evening sun. Walks around the lake and via the Frome into Wareham are on the doorstep. The wider Isle of Purbeck is on Warehams doorstep with easy access to Swanage (perfect Victorian resort and period steam railway), Corfe (with its stunning Castle), Kimmeridge (with fossils and an underwater nature trail) and Lulworth Cove with great swimming and a greater walk to Durdle Door. There’s a tank museum if the weathers wet and all the amazing history surrounding TE Lawrence (of Arabia ) whose domain this area famously was. Can’t recommend enough and the thoughtful provisions left by our host were hugely appreciated.

Enjoyed our stay at Crows Nest, comfortable and clean accommodation.Great location near to beach, shops, cafes and restaurants.

Nicky’s cottage was lovely, clean and welcoming and is in the perfect location to explore all that the New Forest has to offer. We have stayed in the area several times and this was definitely our favourite accommodation. We’d love to stay here again next time we’re in the area.

We loved The Four Horseshoes! The house was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. We cooked several meals there and ate at the pub a few times. Can't recommend the pub enough -- very welcoming staff and the food was absolutely delicious! A great spot, quiet and peaceful, perfect for our family of six. We would definitely stay again!

We stayed at the cottage during the week leading up to Easter and absolutely loved our time here. The surrounding landscape along the Yar estuary is so peaceful and full of wildlife, it made having a morning coffee beside the water, listening to all manner of birdsong, our favourite moment of the day. The Kings Manor grounds are gorgeous and we very much appreciated being able to play some tennis on the court by the main house. A welcome basket with goodies, friendly communication and a very uncomplicated check in/out, as well and all the wonderful places to visit on the island made this holiday truly a special experience for us. We would return in a heartbeat.

Thanks to Aven, we all felt this fisherman’s cottage was a “home from home”, warm and peaceful during some of the coldest winter nights. Neighbours were friendly, the location is superb, quaint and cosy. Aven is a welcoming host and my family enjoyed a relaxing stay. Great to have off-road parking too.

We had a brilliant stay at the Pink House! The house itself was beautifully decorated and was warm and inviting - we felt really at home here. Deborah was very friendly and responsive in her communication and sent us lots of local recommendations of things to do and places to visit. The garden was really private and we loved the built in BBQ and home-grown tomatoes and cucumbers, and the welcome basket that we're waiting for us when we arrived. The Pink House is in a great location with walks right from the front door and only 15-30 mins drive to the various beaches. We had a wonderful stay and wished we booked for longer - we'll definitely be back again!

We had a great stay at The Red Cottage. The location is excellent to access many parts of the New Forest just a short drive away. The cottage is comfortable and spacious. The host was very responsive and welcoming.

Weir Cottage was the perfect place for our weekend. We wanted to walk in the forest, dip our toes in the sea and do a little shopping so we were very content at Weir Cottage. The garden is an oasis of calm and quiet and was a unique place to relax at the end of the day. Shane was the perfect host and a mine of local information. Weir Cottage will be the first place we'll search for next time we plan to revisit the area.

William's cottage is a really beautiful home, it is not just an airbnb. The location is very special, minutes from the coast and surrounded by farm land, it was incredibly quiet and picturesque while also being only a 10 minute drive (maybe less) in to Lymington. The cottage is very stylish in an eclectic English way and had a sense of calm about it, full of beautiful things, lots of interesting books and gorgeous textiles. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding warm and the bed linen was white and crisp. We were also very pleasantly surprised that the sofa bed, which we used for our 5th guest, was in a very charming room of its own, meaning we still had a sitting room that we all could use when that room was in use. We would stay there again without a doubt.
