Holiday rentals with lake access in Dorset

We had a fantastic 2 night stay at the chapel. Lovely interiors, comfy beds and very peaceful surroundings. The beach is only a short drive and Stephanie recommended some delicious food options- The parlour for Italian in the coolest setting and sundorbon authentic Indian who delivered to the door…would highly recommend both! Overall a little gem!

Thank you to Scott for our short break to his accommodation. It was very clean and beautifully presented. Good location for dog walks and beaches. I would highly recommend.

Absolutely fabulous place to stay , i had a special birthday so got the family together . The house is so well equipped to high standard. The pool is brilliant nice temperature and big enough to feel like your doing your lengths in exercise, brilliant setting to sit round. Can't find anything bad to say about the place Nice kid's area with swings and trampoline.

Three of us and the dog stayed at David’s cottage and we had a wonderful time. The place was spotless when we entered, it was everything we needed. David was very communicative and helpful. We spent a lot of time in the garden as luckily the weather was in our favour and it was fenced in so the dog could run around with furniture for us to use. The cottage is in a perfect location, off of the main road so it was quiet and peaceful and just down the road from the sandbanks which we visited frequently. I highly recommend anyone interested in staying here I haven’t got a single fault! :)

We had an absolutely fabulous time at the brewery. The views are outstanding. Photos cannot do it justice. Our teenagers swam in the pond multiple times each day. The sun is on the patio from morning to sunset (and wow what a sunset). We had most things that we needed and were greeted with a lovely welcome package. Lots of flexible sleeping options. We had a very lovely stay. Nicola provided a high chair and travel cot to accommodate for our 10 month old baby. The hot tub was lovely and private and the views were stunning.

This was the best air b and b stay I’ve had! It was so peaceful and quiet. I booked it for my mums birthday and she was blown away by the property. If you are looking to get away and relax this is the place! Everything was such high quality and felt very homely. Thank you ☺️

Perfect location looking across Weymouth beach & bay. A nostalgic return to our childhood holiday destination on Weymouth Esplanade. Don is a great host & obviously loves Weymouth & the surrounding area. The addition of the parking permit for a nearby carpark is a welcome bonus! Flat is ideal for a home from home get away. Lovely tractor house to stay in. Has all the things you’d expect in a studio flat. Not very accessible if you don’t have a car fyi (not a fault of the place at all) but otherwise lovely.

An absolutely beautiful place to stay. It was so quiet and peaceful, absolutely lovely walks around the lake where we saw deer and baby geese. The place itself was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. We had fresh eggs from Jo and Jay’s chickens, juice, milk and other breakfast bits. The place came with binoculars which we used on our walk around the lake and on our day at Arne. We bumped into Jo who came out of her way to say hello and to ask how everything was. I cannot fault a single thing about our stay, it was exactly what we needed to relax ans detox and we will absolutely be back in the future!

The caravan’a main living area felt much more spacious than we imagined and there was quite a good sea view. It was right by the amenities yet still quiet. Parking was a little tricky but we have a big car and you can always use the main car park which always had spaces and felt very safe. Lovely resort with friendly, helpful and professional staff.

Sheralee's apartment is in an absolutely perfect location for enjoying a holiday in Sandbanks. The views are so beautiful and peaceful of the harbour from the balcony, bedroom window and living room window. There was everything we needed in the Airbnb and we loved eating dinner on the balcony as well as at the dining table in the living room. Would highly recommend staying here and we would love to come back another time. So lovely that there is such easy access to both the harbour side (we did kayaking there) and the beach side through the Jazz Café entrance to the beach. Also, having the Tesco Express as part of the same building was really handy to buy food from!

The Hideaway is a spacious annexe with easy access through the garden. Julie is really friendly and helpful. The house is in a pleasant and quiet street, with easy parking. It's 5 mins by car to the centre of town and the beach, and 5 mins on foot to shops, including Lidl. We had a lovely time visiting family in Weymouth and would definitely come again - thank you Julie!

Ecerything was exactly as described. Check in simple. Very clean and tidy. Location was spot on for what we needed. Managed to get both cars on the driveway and we were allowed to keep both cars on there after check-out whilst we did other activities. Communication was also very quick, highly recommended. We had a lovely stay at Tim and Debbie’s lodge. It was in such beautiful peaceful surroundings and we loved exploring. Our young boys also really enjoyed the lake and the golf! Thanks so much for having us Tim and Debbie; it was such a pleasure to meet you.

We had a fantastic stay at Orchard cottage. We were there for 2 nights, and we were four adults, two 4-years old and a 19-month old. The cottage was perfect. We were able to use the bbq, and have lunch and dinner outside. The children were thrilled with all the animals, the playground and the indoor play area. Danielle, Jason and their children were amazing hosts, and spoiled our children with all the animals. The cottage, and the farm are amazing. It has everything you need an more. The decoration and design of every corner is also really well thought out (of the cottage but also the garden and forest trail). We were also able to do multiple things in the area. There are some nice places where to go for lunch, the beach is just 10 minutes drive, and there are various farms and farm shops too. We would definitely come back, and we recommend it for a family, a couple or multiple families.

Jane was an excellent host especially around the Christmas period. Be aware it can be difficult to find in the dark but that was also its charm. The house was excellent for 8 adults & 1 ,4 yr old. It had everything we needed & we cooked a full Christmas dinner without a problem. So easy to get to the beautiful coast where 4 of the group swam twice in the calm waters. Lovely to be able to get a great walk by the lake & around the property if you didn’t want to drive far. Two lovely log fires & we were never short of logs. Charlie & Jane were excellent hosts . We will certainly be back .

Our stay at Shane’s exceeded all expectations. It is such a peaceful spot. The gardens are beautiful and the cottage had everything we needed and more. We loved every minute of our stay and didn’t want to leave!

James and Emma are very welcoming hosts. Wellhayes is a peaceful haven, giving us a restorative break away from the hustle of daily life. We had a lovely relaxing afternoon using the sauna and dipping into the lake. Thank you!

The cottage and Tisbury are both lovely. The cottage has everything you need (except for a dishwasher) and in the village you’ll find everything you need. There are cafés and pubs as well as shops for your daily needs. The village is ideally located to have nice day trips to the area and even to the Dorset coast. All in all we had a wonderful holiday and would recommend the cottage for a couple’s holiday.

Abby is very welcoming and friendly host. We loved staying at the cottage. The view was beautiful, the surroundings very peaceful, the house was very clean and comfortable. There were many things to do at the property for families with children, very big gardens, you can play outdoor games, visit the sheep. Cat named Ozzy came every morning and evening to visit. Also there is plenty of things to do near by. There is lots of suggestions in a guest book. We liked it so much we wanted to extend our stay.
