Barn accommodation in Dorset

Wonderful host and a wonderful space. Extremely spacious and private, with lovely grounds and a terrific tennis court. We booked a grocery delivery to arrive after we checked in, but it was early and Serena sorted it out and even put everything away, very thoughtful. We booked The Barn after being let down by another property. One of our party uses a wheelchair and whilst The Barn isn’t fully accessible, Serena went through every detail in advance and it enabled us to bring some of our own equipment to ensure the property worked for us. Five Star in every way.

Incredible place to stay - very beautiful & perfect if you love nature (especially birds)! Really lovely hosts - very generous, friendly and kind. Would highly recommend & might return in the future!

Had an amazing stay, Roger was extremely kind allowing my grandson to feed the animals both days. Great location for visiting area, highly recommend the Tank museum and Seabeats restaurant in Weymouth. Accommodation was bright light and airy, also well equipped and clean.

awesome place to stay, would highly recommend. stayed in lambing season and the field is right outside so you can watch them playing in the field. got a tour of the farm and just a beautiful place. disabled facilities and wet room was excellent!

We had a wonderful stay at this property as a family of 4 adults and 2 young children. The lake and walks were a highlight. We would definitely recommend the stay, and visit again! Gorgeous facilities (bath, shower and hot water) kitchen was great for home cooking. Found everything we needed. We did struggle to find the property with the postcode/address on Airbnb (look out for the faded wellhayes sign). And we also thought from the listing that the nook with the double bed was for 'extra' guests, but was in fact the third bedroom for guests 5 and 6. This was OK for us as my children are young, but its not a bedroom as such. Despite the rainy weather, we had a great 4 days in the surrounding area 😃

Fantastic cottage in beautiful surroundings. Jill was a great host and the cottage was well equipped and comfortable. Our children loved the shared garden and the views from the rear of the property are stunning. Seatown is a 15 minute walk away with a beautiful beach and coastal walks. We also enjoyed delicious meals at The Anchor Inn in Seatown. A perfect base to explore the Dorset coast, we would love to stay at Jill’s cottage again.

We had a really wonderful stay at Tor View Cottage. The cottage itself is beautiful with the most stunning outlook. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The master bedroom is very spacious. There are lots of places to visit nearby. Donna was helpful and friendly in all of our interactions and left us some scrummy scones. All in all, a top choice for a Somerset stay.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Valley View. It's set in gorgeous surroundings and less than ten minutes to lyme regis by car. The property was absolutely spotless and the perfect space for a short break. We stayed for three nights and wished we had booked for longer!

Fantastic location and Property. Everything you need for a super chilled comfortable stay. Lots to see and do around the area, and Cat is the ideal host. If your looking at this review, just book the Pig House, you won't regret it.

Me and my girlfriend absolutely loved our stay at this lodge! It was clean, unique and we absolutely loved being near all the amazing animals ( especially the Shetland who lived next door ) we loved it so much I thought it was the perfect place to ask my girlfriend to marry me! Thankfully with the help of this amazing lodge she said yes :)

A beautiful place to stay..Inside was just perfect.. Beautifully fitted out inside with all amenities.. Cake was lovely touch.. Friendly cats and dogs came to see us and the hosts Kate and Jules were excellent ... loved the outlook accross the paddock..Wished we had booked for longer and had more time .. Oh well will just have to come back again.. Shaftesbury was good to visit as was Sherbourne and a great day at Stourheead just stunning.. 100% outstanding...

A lovely place to stay. We were walking the South West Coastal Path, so this made an excellent base. The house is comfortable to stay in: plenty of hot water, warm, and great facilities. Comfortable beds and spotless bathrooms. An excellent welcome pack too. It's a good location to explore the Dorset coast, and lots of paths for walking too. The cafe is in a fabulous location with excellent food. A good place for breakfast - we just wish we had longer and are already talking about when we can go back.

What a beautifully chic place to stay 💫 We loved it. Comfortable furnishings and furniture, lots of light, lovely planting outside, and all you can hear is birdsong. Suzanne was quick to reply and always helpful. We very much hope to come back sometime. Highly recommended.

It was so lovely to arrive at Laura’s accommodation late on Friday night. The house is beautifully finished, well appointed and deliciously warm and cosy with every attention to detail taken care of. Laura, Edd and gorgeous dog Otter, popped round to say Hi and gave us books for walks in the area. We would definitely like to return, if only to enjoy the privacy and fabulous wood burner! Have to mention The Old Dairy just up the lane which did the most amazing breakfast. I would highly recommend a stay here.

We had a fantastic stay at the Music Barn, stunning house, excellent facilities and extremely cosy, everything we could wish for. A visit to the local Old Diary Cafe is a must - delicious home-made food, exceptional quality and well worth the money. Dan was a fabulous host, very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Would definitely recommend and would love to return.

The house was stunning and perfect for our family getaway with a lovely communal open plan space but also private space in the bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms and showers which was a huge bonus. The kitchen had everything we needed and we were greeted on arrival by the host. We all had a wonderful stay.

We were looking for a short break during the half term, with lots of indoor and outdoor activities for our kids (10 yrs, 6yrs, 7 months). The indoor heated pool and the activity room were god sent especially because couldn't do a lot of outdoorsy stuff as our little one was under the weather. The living space was spacious and clean and the location was stunning. Great getaway for all of us! Would love to revisit!

Had a short weekend at the flat on this loverly farm. If you want some where to chill and have some peace then this is the place to be. Add the style of the flat inside and out and how helpfull Lucy and her crew are, you the have this perfect place. The correspondence and information on the arrival and departure is first class. There is a nice little pub no more than a five minute drive called The Antelope Inn, very friendly. Thanks again Lucy for a wonderful stay.

So glad we booked to stay at The Stables as it was absolutely perfect for a little family getaway. The property was absolutely spotless, with many handy items in the kitchen, books and games for the children and even garden games too. We loved being situated on a farm and our children were lucky enough to help move the cows across the road to another field! Ava and Chris were really friendly and gave us locations of local shops and attractions. This was the perfect place to stay while visiting attractions in Yeovil and Sherborne and we'd love to stay again. Thank you for a great and memorable trip

The Loft has to be one of our favourite stays so far. It is delightful! The Loft itself is lovely, peaceful and wholesome. We loved the living/bedroom area, beautiful views of the countryside. Great location with easy access to Bridport, beaches and pubs. Our dogs had a great time and Roger, a resident terrier on the farm was so friendly, very welcoming and loved to come and say hello. Would highly recommend The Loft to anyone!

We had such a lovely stay at The Cider House. The location is beautiful and the barn itself is brilliantly laid out and super cosy. Our boys loved the mezzanine beds and were really sad to leave. We arrived late in the evening and check in could t have been simpler, we felt comfortable and at home straight away. Essentials had been left out so we had milk and tea/coffee to start the day. We’d happily stay again and wish we could have stayed longer; it’s a truly stunning part of the world.

Brilliant, peaceful garden setting, top quality finishes and a serious attention to detail. The apartment has all you need and Kate is always available if you need any help or recommendations. Highly recommended - we will definitely be back.

The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly want for cooking Accommodation was comfortable and cosy Definitely had a farmhouse vibe and we look forward to returning The Wi-Fi was super slow and only available in the games room. Overall mobile data network in the area wasn’t up to much we tried 3 different networks. There was a issue with the oil heating Which was resolved before we even got there. Outdoor seating & bbq which we used as a fire pit was great too! Top marks. Happy guests
