With five friends, we walked the Alkmaarse 4-day with this farmhouse as a base. Cozy house, nice rooms, excellently equipped, many toilet and shower facilities. On the excellent bikes available, quickly to and from the starting point/finish in the city. And then at the end of the day, you can relax after the walks in the garden or on the terrace. In short, the perfect place to stay!

We spent a week with our 3.5 year old daughter in the nice little guest house. There was everything needed, plenty of towels and linens. Lydia was quick to respond to inquiries in advance. You are quickly at the beach and in the village. We would definitely visit again!

We were very warmly welcomed by Maya and there was even a nice bouquet of flowers, a bottle of wine and a treat for our dog. This was a great surprise. We liked the little cottage and the garden very much, everything was as described. We had a nice time there and will certainly be happy to come back.

We immediately felt very comfortable in Martine's cottage. From the many windows and glass doors, even in the bedroom, you have great views of nature and on the beautiful terrace there are different seating options, even overlooking a small horse paddock. The cottage is nicely decorated and the kitchen is well equipped. By bike we only had to cross the street and were directly in beautiful, bike-friendly surroundings. Martine immediately helped us with each of our concerns - we can't imagine a better host! Thanks again for everything! Also for the beautiful welcome! It's been a great time!

Had a wonderful stay! Very comfortable house, with plenty of outdoor space all around. All the comforts, nice atmosphere. Lots to do in the surrounding areas. Jan is a very pleasant host: responds quickly, friendly, flexible.

Beautiful town with very beautiful sea and beach. Apartment in very nice location, good parking space. Very friendly and welcoming Peter and Eveline. We will definitely come back, had a real holiday with many beautiful moments. Definitely recommended

We had a wonderful extended weekend! The place was cozy and equipped with everything you need. The location is very good and you can reach both the beach and the dune reserve (for free) on foot! The host was very friendly and greeted and said goodbye to us personally. An all-round successful stay! We'd love to come back 🙂

The apartment is simply but tastefully furnished. It's bright yet pleasantly cool when it gets hot outside. Everything is easily accessible on foot, by bike even faster. A nice place to stay, we would come back any time.

Our short trip was super nice. On foot you could reach both Egmond and Bergen. On the way through the dunes we even saw wild horses.

Had a wonderful stay. The space was a bit on the small side, but there was a beautiful roof terrace and private balcony that could be used. That was super nice with the beautiful weather we had! The villa is located about in the dunes and within 3 minutes you are on the beautiful beach. In the villa it was wonderfully quiet, so we could completely relax. Definitely recommended.

Rene's apartment was a great place to stay with secure parking, a nice enclosed backyard for that quiet drink after a hard day's travel, and every convenience in the apartment. Great that it was on ground level too with no steps to climb. Rene was a very gracious host and provided lots of suggestions on where to go. Alkmaar is a lovely town just a short walk away - the Stadskaffee Laurens is a good first stop as it serves half price coffee for that morning pickup. If you combine the Zuiderzeemuseum at nearby Enkhuizen (boat museum with an outdoor folk museum) with a stop at the Museummolen on the way, you will see some real history (much cheaper than Zaanse Schans). Definitely recommended!

Perfect location. You are in the middle of the hustle and bustle and still have a small terrace out the back with absolute peace. Everything was well maintained. We were very enthusiastic and Ivar responded immediately to questions. Thank you

We were guests at the "Wijze Uil" for two weeks and had a wonderful holiday. Jeanet's beautiful old house has been carefully renovated with a lot of love and tastefully and comfortably furnished. The large garden with many seats is a dream and on the terrace you can enjoy the day. An appealing domicile for a relaxing holiday with a dog in a beautiful environment. The small town of Schoorl, with restaurants and shopping, is within walking distance. The dunes and the forest start right behind the house and invite you to take walks. Jeanet is an uncomplicated and friendly hostess and always approachable. We felt very comfortable and will come back next year.

We had to briefly inquire with the neighbors on arrival how to get to the accommodation, but then found our Domzil relatively easily. There was good parking - although we had to walk a little bit from the car to the house, but it really wasn't bad. The accommodation is relatively far outside the centre and away from the train station, but a 25-minute walk doesn't hurt. The only thing that might be great is air conditioning, as the room is directly under the roof and it was very warm due to the high outside temperature. Sharing the bathroom worked out quite well. In the description, it might be worth mentioning the really steep staircase to the room. It wasn't really a problem for us, but if a person with physical disabilities comes to visit, it will probably be difficult. All in all, we were satisfied and would choose Wilma's accommodation again for another visit

Lovely apartment and quiet neighborhood!

We had a wonderful stay in Alkmaar and in the apartment! The communication with Diwa was great, she welcomed us, gave us a lot of useful information, we could always contact her and she was super friendly. The apartment was super clean and had everything we needed. It has a beautiful balcony and a great view. We loved, that it’s located in the middle of the city with nice cafés around the corner. For parking there are good options that Diwa told us about. We totally recommend staying in Diwas apartment and would love to come back!

Our stay at Monica and Pasqual’s was excellent. The home is exactly what is depicted in the photos. Monica and Pasqual’s communication with us was excellent and when we asked about our bicycles they provided us with a solid lock so we could safely leave them in the front yard. The huge bedroom windows overlook an intersection and I loved sitting in bed with the morning sun streaming in, enjoying my early morning coffee while watching the local people go about life. The location was perfect for us to walk from the train/bus station or cycle to family and friends.

Felix's apartment was great. We spent four days there and unfortunately had bad luck with the weather. Despite the weather, we had a great relaxing time through the apartment. Felix is super nice and responded very quickly to messages. He personally welcomed us and was very flexible both on arrival and departure. Felix was consistently available and ensured a relaxing short break. Thanks so much Felix :)

Lovely place and Alkmaar is a lovely Dutch town

We stayed at the apartment for a week with our children. The apartment corresponds exactly to the photos and descriptions. Everything was clean and cleanly equipped. You can see and hear the sea from the balcony. The bedrooms could be darkened very well. Henk was always available and friendly. The apartment is located in a large residential building. Nevertheless, it was totally quiet and relaxing! The location is excellent. In a few minutes you can walk to the beach, to the city with a supermarket, no shops and restaurants. A bike rental is also located in the immediate vicinity. We liked it without exception and can recommend the apartment without restriction.

We had a very nice stay. It was nice and spacious and you can walk to the centre of Bergen in about fifteen minutes. The only disadvantage is that there is no separate shower and this accommodation is not suitable for someone who is not very stable, for example. Because the bath is slippery and there was no handle to hold on to, it can be dangerous.
