Ruth's place was the perfect spot for our weekend away. Great location, easy access to the A1, pub next door and several walks on the doorstep. The annexe is very well equipped and Ruth has thought of all the extras that make the stay a real home from home and great if you've forgotten to bring anything. The private garden is lovely, even in January and a wonderful spot to watch the birds come and go. Ruth's breakfast supplies are generous and we loved how she checked in with us beforehand to find out our preferences. A fabulous find!

I stayed with my wife, daughter and son, we had a wonderful time, we walked everywhere locally. Collyweston is a great location, it is near to Rutland Water, Stamford, Burleigh Hall and a number of beautiful villages and attractions. The cottage is peaceful and quiet directly opposite the lovely local church. We couldn't have asked for a better location or a lovelier cottage. We will definitely return as we have much more to see.

We had a wonderful nights stay and wished we could have stayed longer. You feel at home the minute you walk through the door and the Prosecco hunt is a bit of fun to start your stay off on the right foot.

Our little escape in to the countryside for some peace and relaxation at Sophie’s hideaway was perfect in every way imaginable and exceeded our expectations. We booked for the minimum of 2 nights even though we were only wanting 1 night away, but after our stay we wished it would have been possible for us to stay longer. Sophie made sure we had wood for the fire pit and even restocked the store with more for our 2nd night even though we never asked. The accommodation was very clean with some lovely features that made it feel warm and homely. Contact was made a couple of times to welcome us and reassured us that they were on hand if there’s anything we needed. Thoroughly recommend this hidden gem if you’re looking for something a little different from a hotel or guest house. Can’t wait to return.
